General Hospital Recaps Portia Gives Birth With [Spoiler’s] Help — Plus, Someone Finds Jack’s Black Box Before He Does!
Portia has collapsed on the floor of her home alone and realizes the baby is coming. She crawls and tries to reach for her phone on the table, but can’t. That’s when Jordan reappears.
Jordan says she was halfway down the walk when she heard her scream. Portia says she’s in labor, her water broke, and this baby is coming. Jordan calls 911. Unfortunately, due to an accident Jordan saw earlier and the traffic on the road, it seems the ambulance won’t arrive in time, and they have to do this themselves.
The women sit on the floor, and Portia pushes through. Jordan tries to be supportive, and Portia tells her how to deal with the baby as it comes out. Suddenly, Jordan sees the head!
Drama at the Pool, What Else Is New?
Stella and Curtis have a night out at The Metro Court pool, and she wants him to know that Trina’s showcase is tonight. Curtis thanks her for telling him, though he would have liked to hear it from Trina. However, he and Portia have been giving her the space she asked for. Stella believes the baby will heal them all, but Curtis isn’t sure with the trial still looming. He fears whatever peace this baby brings will be short-lived.
Carly is sitting at a table alone and can’t stop thinking about Anna being back in town. Valentin arrives and comments that she’s too beautiful to look so troubled. Carly says she was just thinking about Joss and asks how Charlotte is. He tells her about their trip to Wyndemere, and Carly snarks, “I’m not spending the night there.” Valentin says his assets are frozen for now, so Carly says he can stay here as long as he wants. Valentin hates the idea of handouts, when attics suit him just fine.
That’s when Britt appears and asks Carly, “Why do you always have to be such a spiteful bitch? Carly asks Valentin to give them a moment, so he steps aside. Britt lashes out at her for renting out her room, but Carly says she disappeared and kidnapped Rocco in the process. Carly had no reason to believe she was coming back. Britt asks where her things are, and Carly is pleased to tell her, “They’re gone!” Carly tells Britt to start taking responsibility for her own life instead of expecting others to fix her problems.
Curtis speaks with Valentin about the night of the accident, and if he saw a car on the road and the other driver. Valentin remembers that night, and that Charlotte and Danny were on the road and had an accident, but tells Curtis he doesn’t know anything.
Valentin heads back to Carly and says he unfortunately needs to go and take care of something. He kisses her goodbye.
Emma and Kai kill time at the pool, waiting to hear from Trina and Gio about how their showcase went. Emma knows tonight is a big deal for Gio too, and he hasn’t made peace with his mom’s memory. She thinks playing again could be a sign of acceptance and forgiveness, allowing him to move on.
Stella checks in on a troubled Britt, who tells her she appreciates her kindness. She is one of the few people at GH who make her days better. She hopes to be back soon and make a difference herself. Stella doesn’t know about that, since this isn’t the first time she’s disappeared. Britt says her life was in danger, but Stella says there are only so many times you can let someone down before they don’t hold the door open for you.
Do Gio and Trina Impress the Exec?
Brook Lynn meets Gio and Trina in a studio space for their showcase. Brook Lynn knows they’ll blow the execs away, and they could offer her a record deal today.
Brook Lynn leaves to check on things, and Trina tells Gio she can’t do this. Gio calms her down and tells her not to think about the execs, sing to him, or think about Kai, Emma, her Aunt Stella, or her parents.
Brook Lynn returns and says they are on in five. Eventually, they play for the A&R executive Simon (played by Grady Eldridge), but we don’t hear them. After they finish, the exec praises Gio to Brook Lynn and wants to pair him with a specific artist. She appreciates that, but tonight is about Trina.
They head in to see Gio and Trina, and the exec gives Trina and Gio some suggestions and wants to hear them play again. He says Trina is holding back, so show him who she is, let loose.
Anna Needs More Answers
At GH, Joss wakes and finds Anna sitting in her room. Anna came to speak with Joss about what happened to her. Joss thought Valentin talked to her, and Anna says he did, but Obrecht told her to speak to her. Obrecht maintains Cullum was the mastermind, not Cassius. Joss tells her about finding Faison’s book and some cigarillos in Cullum’s jacket.
Joss tells Anna that Cassius claimed to have no knowledge of her imprisonment, and he did save her when he could have killed her. Anna asks if it seemed like Cassius was working for Cullum rather than with him, and Joss believes so. She says Cassius wanted to be worthy of Nathan, but he was still responsible for his actions. That’s why she was fine destroying his reputation to save Jason and Valentin.
Anna says, pointing the finger at Cassius, that it could come back to bite her. Anna wonders if Z asked her to make the statement or if it was her idea. Joss says it was her idea, which Anna was afraid of. This means the WSB did her a solid, and will come one day, and she will owe them a favor.
Drew’s Alive! He’s Alive!
At Willow’s, Michael brings Amelia and Wiley over, and Wiley asks if Dad can stay for dinner. Meanwhile, we see that Drew can move his hand. Willow says the kids should go check on their rooms, where presents from Grandma Nina are waiting. Alone, Willow lashes out at Michael for his latest attempt to frame her.
Michael says if he did, which he didn’t, she should thank him for giving her what she wants. It sent Chase running to her rescue again. Willow says Chase is her friend, one who still sees the good in her. Michael says she used to have so much good in her. Willow says the real reason he is angry at her is that she learned she doesn’t have to depend on him, and she’s thriving without him.
Meanwhile, Amelia stops by Drew’s room and waves at him, and he waves back. Wylie joins her and sees Drew can move, which he says is great. Drew puts his fingers to his lips to signal, “Secret!”
The Search Is On
At Wyndemere, Jack and Nina are running out of time to find his black box before Valentin likely comes back. They search the living room to find nothing, so Nina suggests the west turret. However, Jack suddenly becomes weak and almost falls as Nina rushes to him.
Nina brings him a water, and he claims he’s just getting his sea legs after months in bed. Nina says if he pushes himself too hard, he’ll have a real stroke, but he reminds her he’s doing this for her.
Nina tells him to rest, and she’ll keep searching. That’s when we see a gloved hand open the front door slowly…
In the Show’s Final Moments
At the pool, Carly checks in with Emma and Kai and asks Emma about Anna. Emma says she’s happy to be home, and everyone has been helpful, especially Valentin.
Anna tells Joss it’s clear she doesn’t know how much Cassius was involved in her abduction and torture. Joss believes that the brainwashing was Cullum’s doing if she had to guess. Anna thanks her for sharing what she could.
Anna exits and runs into Britt. Anna says she was just talking about her father, and her brother… That’s when Peter, like a bad penny, appears behind Britt.
At Willow’s, the kids got board games and invite Michael to stay and play with them. However, Willow says their dad has to leave. He hugs them goodbye and takes off.
In Drew’s room, we see him moving more, and finally, he speaks, saying, “Willlllllllooooooowww!” in a raspy voice.
At Wyndemere, Nina returns to Jack and says she’s found nothing, and they decide to come back tomorrow. Down in the catacombs, a mysterious person has found Jack’s box…
Back at the pool, Stella asks Curtis if she just saw him being nice to Valentin. Curtis says she did, and that Valentin saved him and Jordan that night. He asked him if he had seen Isaiah on the road that night, but he hadn’t.
We finally hear Trina and Gio perform, and the exec seems impressed.
Finally, Jordan is holding Portia’s baby, who cries. She hands the child to Portia; it’s a boy. Portia cries, “Thank you, Jordan! Thank you!”
On the next episode of General Hospital, Stella advises Isaiah to give Portia and Curtis space. Curtis visits with Portia and the baby, and she asks if he wants to hold his son. Joss tells someone, “You don’t want that, trust me!” Britt tells Anna they have a lot more in common than she thinks. Sonny tells Brick they have to find a way to get Valentin out of Carly’s life.
