General Hospital Early Spoilers August 17–21: Curtis Verdict Shocks Port Charles as Michael and Willow Go to War

General Hospital is heading into another explosive week as the August 17–21 episodes promise major fallout for Curtis Ashford, escalating conflict between Michael Corinthos and Willow, and new schemes involving Valentin Cassadine.

Port Charles is already full of tension, but several storylines appear ready to reach major turning points. Curtis faces a verdict that could stun his entire family, Michael and Willow’s custody battle gets uglier, Anna Devane becomes increasingly dangerous, and Valentin continues arranging his future around Charlotte — and possibly Carly.

Before getting to next week, several developments during the remainder of this week are helping set the stage.

Willow Demands the Children From Michael

Michael and Willow’s fragile ceasefire appears to collapse almost immediately.

Willow is furious after being drugged by Justinda and believes Michael may somehow have been involved. She confronts him while Gio attempts to calm the situation, but Willow makes it clear that she intends to take Wiley and Amelia.

That puts Michael in a terrible position.

He may explain that he had no idea Justinda had drugged Willow and that he ended the relationship as soon as he discovered what she had done.

However, Willow may not be ready to believe him.

Fortunately for Michael, Trina and Kai could be holding information powerful enough to change the custody battle.

They know important details surrounding Drew’s shooting and may tell Michael that Willow was responsible.

Even if Willow cannot face another criminal prosecution over the incident, the information could still become extremely damaging in family court.

Michael may soon have leverage of his own.

Sonny Prepares for Another Battle

Sonny Corinthos is also preparing for a major confrontation.

His decision to step away from illegal activities sounds simple, but Ric Lansing apparently believes the reality will be much more dangerous.

Ric may warn Sonny that leaving the mob does not necessarily mean the mob will leave him alone.

Enemies could view Sonny’s withdrawal as weakness, and both Sonny and Jason could become even more vulnerable.

The question is whether Sonny can truly walk away from the world that has defined him for decades without triggering another war.

Portia Faces a Difficult Choice

Portia Robinson remains caught between several emotional pressures involving Curtis and Isaiah.

Isaiah offers her what he describes as good news, something Portia desperately needs.

That news could involve his medical prognosis and the future of his surgical career.

At the same time, Curtis continues dealing with the legal consequences hanging over him.

And those consequences are about to become much more important.

Curtis Gets a Shocking Verdict

One of the biggest developments of the coming week involves Curtis.

A verdict is expected, and the result could shock Port Charles.

The outcome has the potential to affect not only Curtis but also Portia, Jordan, Trina and the rest of his family.

Questions also remain about Brook Lynn and whether she will finally reveal what she knows.

If Curtis avoids serious consequences despite everything surrounding the case, the decision could create significant anger and conflict.

Whatever happens, the verdict appears poised to become one of next week’s major turning points.

Anna Sets a Dangerous Trap

Anna Devane is becoming increasingly unpredictable.

She appears ready to set a trap, and Britt may be the target.

Peter’s continuing influence over Anna is making the situation even more dangerous, especially as pressure builds for Anna to take drastic action against Britt.

Britt, meanwhile, continues searching for Rocco and may simply be trying to find someone in Port Charles who does not immediately treat her as an enemy.

But with Anna closing in, Britt could soon find herself in serious danger.

The situation is expected to intensify during the week of August 17.

Danny Turns to Charlotte

Danny is struggling badly with Drew’s attempts to keep him separated from Scout.

The situation is hurting both children, and Danny appears increasingly angry about Drew’s behavior.

He turns to Charlotte for help, and their conversation at the Quartermaine dock could become important.

Danny has a history of acting impulsively when he believes someone he loves is being mistreated.

If Drew continues trying to control Scout’s relationship with her brother, Danny may decide to fight back.

Jason Opens Up to Carly

Jason and Carly share another close moment as Jason confides in his longtime best friend.

Carly may be relieved by the possibility that Jason and Sonny are finally stepping away from the mob world.

But another complication could soon enter the picture.

Valentin Cassadine is rebuilding his life and appears increasingly connected to Carly.

If Valentin arrives while Jason is spending time with her, Jason’s reaction could be revealing.

Valentin is clearly planning for his future, and whatever he wants for himself, Charlotte and Carly could create another major storyline.

Serena Moves Closer to Michael

With Justinda apparently gone, Michael is single again.

That gives Serena Baldwin an opportunity.

Serena continues trying to get close to Michael, although her motives may not be entirely romantic.

Her connection to Lucy and Deception could complicate everything.

Michael may welcome the attention after the chaos with Willow and Justinda, but if he discovers Serena has another agenda, the relationship could collapse before it truly begins.

Meanwhile, Serena is also attempting to build a relationship with Cody.

The two are siblings, but Serena’s plans involving Tracy could quickly cause trouble.

Cody is extremely loyal to Tracy, which means Serena may eventually have to choose between her schemes and her newfound brother.

Ric Becomes More Jealous

Ric’s jealousy involving Elizabeth and Dante continues growing.

Instead of bringing Elizabeth closer, Ric’s behavior may push her further away.

The more controlling or suspicious he becomes, the greater the risk that Elizabeth decides she has had enough.

Their relationship could soon face another serious test.

Ava and Drew Plot Against Sonny

Ava and Drew continue working toward revenge against Sonny.

And spending so much time plotting together may create another kind of chemistry.

Their alliance could become much more personal if the two begin relying on each other emotionally as well as strategically.

Drew remains furious and determined to control several situations around him, including his conflict involving Scout and Danny.

But his obsession with revenge may create unexpected consequences.

Brennan Helps — but His Time Is Running Out

Jack Brennan continues doing everything possible to help Nina and others around him.

However, his future appears increasingly grim.

His time is running out, which could make every remaining interaction more important.

Josslyn also continues pushing for more responsibility within the WSB.

She wants Brennan to send her on another assignment, but he does not appear ready to do so yet.

Her determination could eventually put her in Hudson’s orbit.

Hudson Searches for Answers About His Child

Hudson is expected to become increasingly interested in Ava.

He knows Ava had a connection to Ethan, and he may believe she represents his best chance of finding information about his baby.

With Ethan no longer available, Hudson has very few leads.

That could pull Ava into yet another dangerous storyline.

Trina’s Stalker Mystery Deepens

Trina continues facing a disturbing situation involving a possible stalker.

The mystery is becoming increasingly unsettling, and answers may finally begin emerging.

At the same time, Trina is caught up in other people’s problems, including Michael and Willow’s custody battle.

Her involvement could put her in an even more complicated position.

Emma Struggles With Gio’s New Career

Gio’s record deal continues taking more and more of his time.

Emma tries not to complain, but she is clearly disappointed that his new career leaves less room for their relationship.

She does not want to become a burden or interfere with his opportunity, so she attempts to hide her feelings.

That could become a problem if Gio fails to notice how much the situation is affecting her.

Port Charles Is Heading for a Chaotic Week

The week of August 17–21 appears packed with major developments.

Curtis faces a verdict that could change everything.

Michael and Willow’s custody battle becomes increasingly ruthless.

Danny struggles against Drew’s attempts to separate him from Scout.

Anna’s obsession puts Britt in danger.

Serena makes moves toward Michael while building a complicated relationship with Cody.

And Valentin continues quietly rebuilding his future.

With relationships collapsing, alliances shifting and old secrets becoming powerful weapons, Port Charles may be entering one of its most unpredictable weeks yet.

The biggest question may be whether Curtis’ shocking verdict brings relief to his family — or triggers an even bigger crisis.
