Days of Our Lives Two-Week Spoilers: Theo Explodes, Chanel Faces a Delivery Crisis, Lexie’s Final Moments and Xander Gets a Tempting Offer

Days of Our Lives is heading into an emotional and dramatic two weeks from August 17 through August 28, with Theo Carver furious over a devastating family betrayal, Chanel Dupree facing frightening complications during labor, and Salem preparing to say goodbye to Lexie once again.

Meanwhile, Xander Kiriakis receives a tempting offer that could affect the future of Titan, Gwen plays a dangerous game with the police, Leo finally returns to Salem, and several relationships are pushed to their breaking points.

Here is what fans can expect.

Monday, August 17: Abe and Theo Find Lexie

The week begins by picking up directly from Friday’s shocking cliffhanger.

Abe and Theo are horrified after discovering Lexie in the hidden room beneath the DiMera mansion. They immediately rush to get her transferred to Salem University Hospital.

Unfortunately, Kayla delivers devastating news.

Lexie’s condition is extremely serious, and it quickly becomes clear that her time is running out.

One of the most heartbreaking moments of the week comes when Abe and Theo quietly enter Lexie’s hospital room.

Theo approaches his mother and simply says, “Hey, Mom.”

Lexie is clearly in terrible condition, leaving both father and son facing the painful reality that they may lose her all over again.

Elsewhere, Chanel suddenly goes into labor at the apartment.

Lani, Paulina and Johnny scramble to get her to the hospital while Ari and Aaron stay behind to watch baby Trey.

At the Salem Police Department, Rafe pressures Gwen to cooperate with Jada.

The authorities want Gwen to testify against EJ, but threatening Gwen may not be the smartest strategy. Gwen is far more likely to cooperate if she is offered something valuable in return.

Meanwhile, Javi learns that Leo sacrificed his own freedom to protect Gwen from Dimitri.

The revelation leaves Javi impressed—and may force him to reconsider his feelings about Leo.

Tuesday, August 18: Theo Turns on Johnny

Theo’s grief quickly turns into rage.

He confronts Johnny after learning that Johnny knew Lexie was being held in the tunnels beneath the DiMera mansion but failed to tell him.

Theo demands answers.

From Theo’s perspective, Johnny allowed him to remain in the dark while his mother was suffering.

That betrayal may be difficult—if not impossible—for Theo to forgive.

Johnny also has plenty of other DiMera secrets surrounding him, giving Theo even more reasons to question exactly what his cousin has been hiding.

JJ also returns to the action and searches for his sister Gwen.

He may want Gwen to help investigators build their case against EJ.

JJ later spends time with Theo at the hospital, likely offering comfort to his former close friend during one of the most painful moments of Theo’s life.

Elsewhere, Holly and Tate try playing matchmaker for Aaron and Ari.

Aaron has already kissed Ariana, and with the two of them spending time together while watching Trey, the romantic sparks may continue to grow.

Julie also gets a surprise when Foster makes a move and kisses her.

Her reaction could be priceless.

Wednesday, August 19: Leo Finally Gets His Freedom

Over in Alamania, Leo makes one final emotional plea to Dimitri.

Leo tells him that if he truly loves him, he needs to let him go.

Dimitri initially resists the idea, but eventually Leo is allowed to return to Salem.

That return could immediately complicate several relationships.

Back in Salem, Philip makes another attempt to convince Gabi to give him $5 million for a high-stakes poker game in Monte Carlo.

Philip’s plan is incredibly risky.

He apparently believes he could win enough money—possibly as much as $200 million—to rescue Titan from financial disaster.

Whether Gabi is willing to gamble millions on Philip’s confidence remains to be seen.

Xander, meanwhile, hears that someone has made an offer on the Kiriakis mansion.

The potential buyer could be someone Xander despises.

EJ is one possibility, although Gabi may also have enough money to purchase the property even if she cannot solve all of Titan’s financial problems.

Kate comforts Philip as he struggles with the possibility of losing Victor’s home and watching the Kiriakis legacy collapse.

Brady and Sarah Take a Major Step

Brady and Sarah’s relationship grows much more serious.

Brady tells Sarah that he loves her.

Sarah returns those feelings, and the two share a romantic kiss.

For a moment, it looks like they may finally have found real happiness.

Unfortunately, in Salem, happiness rarely lasts.

The relationship is likely to face major complications very soon.

Marina also becomes unwillingly pulled deeper into the mysterious chessboard storyline.

Thursday, August 20: Theo Refuses to Forgive Johnny

Theo remains furious with Johnny.

As far as Theo is concerned, Johnny lied directly to him and nearly allowed Lexie to die alone inside the DiMera mansion.

Even though they are family, Theo may decide that he wants nothing more to do with Johnny.

That could have major consequences for both the Carver and DiMera families.

Gwen, meanwhile, is thrilled when Leo finally returns to Salem.

The bigger question is whether Dimitri followed him.

If Dimitri refuses to give up on Leo, the situation could quickly become dangerous again.

Elsewhere, Gus talks with Javi, but tensions between them appear to be growing.

Javi’s concern for Leo may make Gus realize that their relationship was never going to work.

Joy Receives Devastating Medical News

Joy’s storyline also takes a frightening turn.

Kayla tells her that the worst-case scenario involving her spinal stenosis could leave her paralyzed.

The possibility devastates Joy.

Alex immediately steps in to support her, holding and comforting her as she tries to process the news.

Stephanie sees the moment.

Instead of focusing solely on Joy’s medical crisis, Stephanie may struggle with jealousy over Alex being so close to her.

She later turns to Chad for comfort and advice.

However, if Stephanie lashes out at Alex over comforting Joy, Alex may finally lose patience with her.

With Joy potentially facing paralysis, petty jealousy could be the last thing Alex is willing to tolerate.

Friday, August 21: Chanel’s Labor Turns Dangerous

Jada confronts EJ with some very difficult questions.

She may demand an explanation for how Lexie ended up hidden beneath the DiMera mansion.

Jada could also question EJ about Kristen’s disappearance, Gwen’s letter and several other suspicious events surrounding the DiMera family.

At the hospital, Abe and Theo remain by Lexie’s side.

Abe holds her hand as her condition continues to decline.

The emotional scenes could become even more intense when EJ arrives.

Abe is expected to explode at him, ordering EJ to get out of the room.

However, Lexie may defend her brother and explain that EJ had been respecting her wishes.

Even that may not be enough to repair the damage between EJ and the Carvers.

Chanel Starts Bleeding During Labor

At the same hospital, another family faces a terrifying crisis.

Chanel’s labor suddenly becomes dangerous when she begins bleeding.

Johnny notices something is wrong, and Kayla quickly takes control.

Paulina and Lani are told to leave the room while Chanel and Johnny remain together.

Chanel is terrified, but she insists on continuing with the delivery.

Johnny stays beside her, holding her hand while she struggles through intense pain.

Eventually, the sound of a baby crying suggests that Chanel and Johnny’s child is born.

But Chanel herself may still be in serious danger.

Outside the delivery room, Lani and Eli wait anxiously for news.

The situation is especially traumatic for Lani because it reminds her of the pregnancy complications and loss she experienced years earlier.

Life and Death Collide in Salem

The episode appears to deliver one of Salem’s most emotional contrasts.

As Chanel and Johnny welcome a new baby into the world, Lexie reaches the end of her life.

The two families experience the circle of life at almost exactly the same time.

One generation says goodbye while another begins.

It could become one of the most bittersweet episodes Days of Our Lives has delivered in some time.

Week of August 24–28: Chanel’s Baby May Need NICU Care

During the following week, Chanel and Johnny begin adjusting to life as parents.

Their baby appears to arrive a few weeks early, so the newborn may need to spend some time in the NICU.

Fortunately, the child does not appear to be extremely premature, but the complications surrounding Chanel’s delivery could still create concern.

Johnny will likely remain focused on both his wife and child as they recover.

Abe and Theo Grieve Lexie

Abe and Theo are left shattered after losing Lexie again.

Theo may become even more determined to distance himself from the DiMeras.

He could consider walking away from his job at DiMera Enterprises to avoid EJ and Johnny.

Another possibility is that Theo remains at the company and tries to push Johnny out.

Either way, the family feud is far from finished.

Abe is also unlikely to forgive EJ quickly, even if Lexie uses her final moments to defend her brother.

Stephanie and Alex Face Trouble

Joy’s frightening diagnosis puts increasing pressure on Alex and Stephanie.

Alex is not going to abandon Joy while she is facing such a serious medical crisis.

If Stephanie cannot show compassion, the conflict could seriously damage their relationship.

Joy herself may even rethink her feelings about Stephanie.

If Joy worries she may become paralyzed—or worse—she could start thinking about who would be there for Alex and their child if she could no longer care for them.

Leo and Javi Could Reunite

Leo’s return to Salem forces Javi to confront the truth about his feelings.

Javi may finally realize that Leo—not Gus—is the person he truly loves.

A romantic reunion appears increasingly possible.

However, Dimitri may not be willing to disappear quietly.

If he continues pursuing Leo, the love triangle could remain dangerous.

Gwen May Need Witness Protection

Gwen’s cooperation with law enforcement could put a huge target on her back.

If she agrees to testify against EJ and assist both the FBI and Salem police, Gwen could become a serious threat to the DiMera family.

EJ may want revenge.

That could force Gwen into witness protection—or even send her away from Salem entirely.

A permanent tropical escape might become her safest option.

Dimitri, of course, might see that outcome as poetic justice.

Can Xander and Philip Save Titan?

The future of Titan also remains uncertain.

Philip’s Monte Carlo gamble could either save the family company or create an even bigger disaster.

Fans should soon discover whether he successfully gets the money needed to enter the poker game—and whether his risky plan actually works.

If Philip fails, Xander may be forced to accept help from someone he would normally never trust.

That mysterious offer could end up changing the future of the Kiriakis family.

The next two weeks promise heartbreak, new beginnings and major confrontations across Salem.

Will Theo ever forgive Johnny? Can Chanel survive her frightening delivery complications? And who will make the offer that could save—or completely destroy—Xander and Titan?
