Days of Our Lives Early Spoilers: Tragedy Strikes as John’s Heroic Sacrifice Rocks Salem

As Salem heads into one of its most emotional weeks yet, Days of Our Lives fans should brace themselves for heartbreaking goodbyes, explosive confrontations, and uncertain futures. Here’s what to expect in the upcoming episodes from May 26 through May 30.

Xander and Sarah’s Marriage on the Brink

Tensions explode between Xander and Sarah as the truth about Philip’s brutal beating comes to light. Sarah confronts her husband, furious over his violent actions, while Xander learns of Sarah’s betrayal in conspiring with Philip.

Though Sarah insists her intentions were pure and aimed at protecting Xander, the damage may already be done. Their marriage is heading into stormy waters, and trust may be beyond repair.

Philip’s condition remains critical, but surprisingly, he may not press charges against Xander. Despite Kate Roberts’ push for legal action, Philip’s deeper desire for reconciliation with his brother may take precedence—especially as the family prepares for a devastating loss.

Marina Faces John’s Final Moments

One of the most gut-wrenching storylines this week centers around Marina, who is forced to say goodbye to John Black. After a dangerous mission to retrieve lifesaving medication for Bo, John is gravely injured in an explosion.

Though he manages to save others in the process, including Bo, John is badly burned and unlikely to recover. The tragic twist is made all the more difficult given actor Drake Hogestyn’s real-life health struggles, adding a painful layer of reality to these emotional scenes.

Bo Survives – But at a Terrible Cost

While Hope and Ciara are relieved that Bo survives thanks to John’s heroic efforts, the emotional toll of losing John overshadows any sense of victory. Julie clings to faith and prays for a miracle, but it’s clear that John’s journey is coming to an end.

Steve, Kayla, Roman, Belle, Brady, and others are left devastated as the loss ripples through the Brady and Black families.

A Funeral Brings Salem Together

In early June, Salem will come together to mourn John Black in what promises to be one of the most emotional memorials in Days history.

Returning characters include Sami Brady, Will Horton, Carrie Brady, Hope Brady, Ciara Brady, Andrew Donovan, and Paul Narita. Bo Brady’s appearance is not yet confirmed, though Peter Reckell is set to return soon—raising hopes that Bo may arrive just in time to honor the man who saved his life.

Mourners will begin arriving by the end of this month as the city prepares to say a final farewell to one of its most beloved heroes.

Doug 3 and Ariana: One-Night Stand or Something More?

Elsewhere in Salem, Doug 3 and Ariana Horton take their birthday celebration to another level as they end up in bed together. The big question remains: is this a fleeting night of passion, or the start of an unexpected romance?

With little history between the two, fans will have to wait and see how this storyline unfolds.
