The Bold and The Beautiful

Beloved Bold & Beautiful Leading Man Dead at 86

We’ve just lost another one of the iconic actors of daytime television. General Hospital and Bold and the Beautiful alum Chris Robinson has sadly passed away. So watch till the end to find more about it.

Hey everyone, welcome to Trend Street. If you’ve been watching soaps since the ’70s, then there’s no way you missed Chris Robinson. The man was a daytime TV legend.

His soap journey kicked off in 1978 when he took on the role of Dr. Rick Weber on General Hospital — aka Elizabeth’s uncle. He popped in and out of Port Charles until 2013. And let’s just say the fans loved him and all his drama.

We’re talking messy love triangles involving his on-screen wife Lesley, played by the late Denise Alexander; Alan, played by the late Stuart Damon; and Monica, played by Leslie Charleson, who has also sadly passed away.

Then in 1988, he jumped over to Another World as Jason Frame and stuck around until 1989. Then he made his way to CBS and joined The Bold and the Beautiful in 1992, playing Jack Hamilton, Taylor Hayes’s dad, until 2005.

But Robinson wasn’t just a soap icon — the man had serious range. With over 100 credits to his name, he starred in the military drama 12 O’Clock High and popped up in everything from Young Doctors in Love, Hotel, and Murder, She Wrote to Fantasy Island and Like Father Like Son. He was everywhere.

Unfortunately, Chris Robinson passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday, June 9th, 2025, at the age of 86. The sad news was confirmed by actor-director MJ Allen, who worked with Chris in the 2022 indie flick Just for a Week, through Facebook.

He revealed that Chris had been dealing with heart failure, which was ultimately the official cause of death. He passed away at his ranch near Sedona, Arizona, peaceful and surrounded by love.

General Hospital’s official page also took to Instagram to share photos of the actor, writing:

“General Hospital’s enduring legacy owes a debt of gratitude to Chris Robinson and his portrayal of Dr. Rick Weber. Our hearts go out to his family and friends as they mourn their loss. May he rest in peace.”

He is now survived by his wife, Jackie (married in April 2011), as well as his seven sons and five grandchildren.

Let’s all share our condolences in the comments down below, too.
