The Young and the Restless

“CBS Legend Passes Away at 77-Young And The Restless Teases Another Tragic Loss!”

Those watching The Young and the Restless today may have recognized a familiar daytime face from years gone by.
During an older man appeared on our screens, and yes, that was The Bold and the Beautiful‘s Alan Michael Swan, Macy’s father, Adam Alexander.

On June 5, the actor teased his Genoa City appearance on Instagram and stated,
“Check out a fun cameo on Y&R tomorrow.”

For those who missed it, Swan appeared while Mariah was deep in thought while sitting on a park bench.
She recalled drinking in a hotel and how an older man walked up to her and said,
“Someone looks like they could use a friend.”

Though no other details were revealed about her memory, it clearly wasn’t a good one,
considering how Mariah cringed at the thought.

Looking back on Swan’s daytime career, he’s held many roles over the years.
CBS viewers last saw the actor on sister soap The Bold and the Beautiful in 2003.
He first appeared as Sally Spectra’s ex and Macy’s dad in 1998.

Prior to that, he played Duncan McKenney alongside Beyond the Gates‘ Tamara Tunie as Jessica on As the World Turns from 1986 to 2002.
He also had roles on Guiding Light as Brad Green, One Life to Live as Bishop John Carpenter,
Days of Our Lives as Frank Royce, and Santa Barbara as a doctor.

It was so fun seeing this soap popper hop on over to The Young and the Restless.
And you never know, given he seems to play a big part in the secret Mariah is keeping,
we may not have seen the last of him.
