Stephanie Johnson is totally losing it.
She starts freaking out about her book release—it’s a big moment for her, but she’s terrified people will find out she didn’t actually write it.

Meanwhile, Doug Williams III is on an apology tour.
Now that Ari and Holly are safe, he’s trying to make amends.

First stop: he apologizes to Julie Williams about the necklace drama.
Then, he packs up and leaves Salem, honoring his deal with Tate Black.

Sophia’s Secret Baby Twist

Now that we’re talking about Tate, Sophia tells him she already had the baby and gave her away to a couple in Chicago.

But here’s the truth:
Sophia actually had a baby boy and left him in a safe haven box.

Javi Hernandez found the baby and took him in.
So, everything she told Tate was a lie.

Tate and Brady are both confused and heartbroken.
They don’t understand why Sophia would make such a life-altering decision in secret.

Johnny’s Trial and Marina’s Collapse

Meanwhile, EJ DiMera is focused on clearing Johnny’s name.
He turns to Marina for help and suggests hypnosis to recover hidden memories.

At the same time, Gwen von Leuschner returns and starts stirring the pot at the DiMera mansion.
She awkwardly runs into Brady and little Rachel, then later provokes Gabi in the town square.

Gwen also makes a shocking discovery, giving her even more ammo for manipulation.

Susan Banks is also back, doing things her own odd way to help Johnny.
Her plans may be messy—but Johnny might be glad she’s around.

Then, at Johnny’s trial, Marina suddenly collapses in the courtroom.
Bella panics as everything comes to a halt.

Doctors are stumped—Marina’s previous bloodwork was totally normal.
Now it’s a medical mystery.

Dreams of Stefano and a Haunting Past

While tests continue, Marina begins having strange dreams—visions of her past with Stefano.
She even remembers being his “Queen of the Night.”

There’s a growing sense that her medical crisis might be tied to her old connection with DiMera darkness.

Week of July 28 – Testimonies, Schemes & Showdowns

Johnny’s trial continues, and the pressure mounts.
Rachel is terrified her testimony might send Johnny to prison.

There’s even a theory Rachel may have accidentally shot EJ and blocked it out.

Belle starts to suspect Marina is hiding something—possibly the identity of the real shooter.

Meanwhile, Gabi is back to scheming.

She strikes a deal with Tony DiMera and begins working on a plan to trick the Kiriakis brothers, all to help Tony reclaim control of DiMera.

Gabi uses her charm—she kisses Xander at the Bistro, and Sarah sees it, retaliating by kissing Brady.
Xander explodes, leading to a full-on fight with Brady.

But Gabi doesn’t stop there—she also sets her sights on Philip.

Trouble is, real feelings might start getting in the way of her plan…
