Young and the Restless Star Sean Carrigan Welcomes First Baby with Fiancée Jazmin Tempske

The soap opera actor and his fiancée first announced they were expecting a baby in June

Sean Carrigan is a dad!

The Young and the Restless star, 51, welcomed his first baby, daughter Susan Maxine Carrigan, with his fiancée Jazmin Tempske, on Monday, Aug. 25. A representative for the couple shared the exciting news with PEOPLE via a press release.

“Both mom and baby are happy and healthy, and the family is soaking in every special moment,” they shared.

The soap opera actor first revealed that he and his fiancée were expecting a baby on his Instagram page in June. In a series of boxer-themed selfies, the newly minted parents posed together with Tempske’s baby bump on full display.

In one of the photos, Carrigan, who’s also a former professional boxer, held up mini pink boxing gloves, indicating that the couple was expecting a baby girl. “Knocked Up – Susan Maxine Carrigan… August 2025,” he wrote in the caption.

In the comment section of their pregnancy announcement, several of Carrigan’s fellow daytime actors and actresses shared their congratulations and excitement for the couple.

Redaric Williams, who stars alongside Carrigan as Tyler Michaelson on the daytime soap opera, wrote, “Major congrats brother, lucky little one on the way, you’re definitely gonna be an awesome dad!!”

Tamara Clatterbuck, who portrays Alice Johnson, also commented, saying ““Congrats to you both!!!!”

Ahead of their newborn’s arrival, the couple celebrated their baby on the way with a baby shower, with Carrigan sharing a snap from the event via Instagram.

In the photo, Carrigan posed alongside the newly minted mom, who wore a short pink dress and beige wedges. The NCIS: Los Angeles star wore blue jeans, a black shirt, and beige boots. Several of the attendees stood next to the couple, as Carrigan held up the peace sign and posed for the picture.
