Days of Our Lives: Hattie, Xander, or Gabi—Who’s Behind the Twisted Sabotage Scheme?

Hey Days of Our Lives fans, disaster strikes this week in the form of poisoned cupcakes and leaked scripts, and there are three culprits I suspect: Xander Cook, Hattie Adams, or Gabi Hernandez—or maybe some combination of them. It’s Belinda from Soap Dirt, and we’re diving into who’s behind these sneaky acts of sabotage. Are these two incidents connected, or just coincidental?

Salem is no stranger to tainted treats, especially after the infamous biscuit incident, which led to all kinds of chaos. Remember when Nicole Walker ended up in bed with Eric Brady and got pregnant with adorable little Jude Bray? Well, Ron Carlivati seems to be rehashing that storyline.

Previously, the drugged biscuits were the work of Jada Hunter’s twisted sister, Talia Hunter, who was following orders from Colin Bedford. Colin, the unhinged brother of Sloan Peterson, was out for revenge on Chanel Dupree, blaming her for his mother’s tragic death.

This time, Chanel could briefly be a suspect, but she was quick to clarify that the cupcakes weren’t from Sweet Bits. Plus, she was also a target, so it’s clear she isn’t behind this scheme.

The big question is: Were the poisoned cupcakes meant to kill, or just incapacitate the cast and crew to halt production?

Hattie Adams tops my suspect list. She was furious when her character was killed off, even cursing the show and everyone involved. Pretty much everyone received a cupcake—except for Joy Wesley, who’s too new for Hattie to know about.

Bonnie Lockhart wisely trashed hers, but Alex pulled a Seinfeld move and retrieved it from the bin to eat. EJ DiMera nearly bit into one, but Paulina Price slapped it out of his hand. Johnny DiMera wasn’t as lucky, stress-eating his way through the poison.

Roman Brady was also close to eating one, and Abe Carver actually did, thanks to Paulina insisting. Interestingly, it seems mostly men ate the tainted treats, with the women opting out.

Leo Stark received a cupcake too, but he was too preoccupied with Javi to eat it. Who knows—he might take a bite in the next episode.

The poisoned treats point to someone with a grudge against the whole production, making Hattie a prime suspect. But what about Xander Cook? He recently threatened to shut down Kate’s show as leverage to get what he wanted for Sarah. Could he have orchestrated this cupcake caper as part of that vendetta?

Then there’s the matter of the leaked scripts. My suspects here include Xander, Hattie, and one more wildcard: Gabi Hernandez. She despises Leo’s relationship with Javi and might go to extreme lengths to sabotage it.

Leo recently revealed to Javi that he had months’ worth of scripts on his laptop. Could Javi have leaked them? Maybe. But Xander, with his background at the Salem Spectator, would have the know-how to release the scripts under the infamous “Lady Whistleblower” pseudonym.

Alternatively, Gabi could’ve sneaked into Leo’s room, found the scripts, and used Chad DiMera’s distracted state to access the Spectator and upload them. Remember, Gabi once used tech to mess with Julie Williams’ pacemaker—hacking into a website isn’t far-fetched for her.

So, are the cupcakes and script leak connected, or two separate schemes? One could be targeting the show, while the other aims to destroy a relationship.

For now, my top suspects remain Xander Cook and Gabi Hernandez, with Hattie Adams as the obvious but less likely culprit.
