Some fun news for fans of Young and the Restless (Y&R)—alum Hunter King is making headlines!
Deadline reports that she, along with Angelic Cabol, Cara Royster, and Justin Lom, will have guest appearances in CBS’s The Neighborhood for the show’s seventh and final season.
The report also reveals that if the network decides to move forward with a spin-off for the 2025-26 season, King—as well as Cabol, Royster, and Lom—will become series regulars for the new show.
Hunter King Reacts to the News
King hopped on her Instagram handle, posting a photo of the Deadline report. In her caption, she wrote:
“Crying, screaming, throwing up! Thank you to @KaplanAron and @ST for this amazing opportunity! This cast is unbelievable, and I feel so lucky to get to act alongside them. Ah! Someone pinch me!”
Of course, many Y&R co-stars and fans were quick to hit the comment section with well-wishes and congratulations.
King’s former TV mom, Michelle Stafford (Phyllis Summers), wrote a heartfelt comment. She was just one of many Genoa City colleagues who wanted to wish King well in her new role.
Hunter King’s Y&R Legacy
Hunter King played Summer Newman on The Young and the Restless from 2012 to 2016 and again from 2018 to 2022.
During her time on the show, she won two Daytime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Younger Actress in a Drama Series.
