At Society

Claire asks Victor if there’s really nothing she and Kyle can do to change his mind about their relationship. Victor obstinately says nothing. Nikki walks in, looks at their faces, and asks, “What did I miss?”

Across the room, Daniel tells Summer he wants to leave since she’s fixating on Kyle and Claire. Summer insists she’s not jealous, just concerned. Daniel challenges her to prove it and let it go.

Claire tells Summer that her grandfather made it clear—there is nothing Kyle can say or do to change his opinion of their relationship. Summer agrees to leave, and Kyle watches them walk out.

At Kyle’s table, Nikki asks Victor what he was thinking. Victor says Kyle spoke his piece, and nothing he said changed his opinion of his character. Claire argues he’s being unfair—Kyle came in good faith.

Victor won’t budge. He believes there will be trouble and doesn’t want Claire involved. Kyle and Nikki demand to know what he means by that. Victor replies, “The Abbotts are a disaster waiting to happen.”

Kyle asks if this is about his parents. Their bond is stronger than ever—how can Victor be so sure there will be trouble? “Unless you plan on causing it yourself?” Kyle challenges. Victor glares.

At the Jazz Lounge Bar

Michael and Lauren arrive. Sensing something is wrong, Lauren urges Michael to talk. He reveals that Victor has a new plan for war against the Abbotts, and he hates it. “It’s as nasty as ever, and to what end? Why can’t the man just let things go?”

Lauren wishes she knew. She recalls what Diane and Jack went through last time. Michael warns that Victor is determined to strip them of every last shred of happiness.

Lauren thinks Victor needs a new hobby. She reminds Michael that she warned him about working for Victor. “Maybe, just maybe, you should have listened to me.”

Michael remains loyal to Victor. Lauren understands his devotion—Victor has always stood by him, even during the shooting. But she demands to know the full truth.

Michael finally explains:

  • He had a meeting with Victor, Nick, and Adam.
  • Ian arrived, seeking revenge for Jordan’s death.
  • Ian grabbed a guard’s gun and threatened to kill them all.
  • Victor saved the day by taking the bullet meant for Nikki.
  • Ian and Victor struggled, and Ian was killed.

Lauren fumes. “Why didn’t Victor demand Ian let you leave?” Michael says he did, but he chose to stay.

Lauren is frustrated. “Even if you could have gotten killed?” Michael regrets nothing, except being unable to prevent Victor from getting shot.

Lauren, wiping away tears, insists: “Tell me the rest.” She knows he crossed legal lines.

At the Suite

Diane promises Jack he’ll be thrilled with the results. At the house, Jack admits Diane was right—this getaway was exactly what he needed. Diane loves being alone with him. “We should do this more often.”

Jack likes the way she thinks. Diane decides they need food and wants to get dressed and go to Society.

At the GCAC

Daniel and Summer arrive. Daniel leaves Phyllis a voicemail about her radio silence, asking for a callback.

Summer wonders if Phyllis went to Paris to meet Billy. Daniel reminds her they’re all supposed to meet for breakfast tomorrow—Phyllis planned it.

Summer shrugs, “Mom always chases after the shiniest object. I’m sure she’s fine.”

Daniel muses that she wouldn’t stop texting before he accepted the offer, and now he can’t reach her. “It’s not like Mom.”

Summer suggests maybe Phyllis lost her phone. Daniel points out, “She’s practically attached to it.”
