Rebecca Budig Replaced by DAYS’ Kristian Alfonso
It looks like Taylor might be losing her fans on Bold and the Beautiful.
And maybe that’s why rumors are swirling that Rebecca Budig could be replaced by another actress.
Could a new version of Taylor be on the horizon? Let’s find out right away.
Hey everyone, welcome to Trend Street.
It’s been nearly a year since The Bold and the Beautiful introduced Rebecca Budig as the new Taylor Hayes.
And let’s just say — the fans still aren’t feeling it.
In fact, some are calling this one of the worst recasts in B&B history.
And honestly, they’ve got a point.
For starters, Budig looks more like Steffy’s sister than her mom. And ever since her version of Taylor hit the screen, she’s gone straight back to obsessing over Ridge.
Like, it’s 2005.
Let’s be real — Taylor was supposed to be the calm, collected alternative to Brooke, the one who had it all together.
But lately, she’s just coming off as desperate, clueless, and frankly, a bit annoying.
It’s like all her growth over the years was tossed in the trash the second the new version stepped in.
And fans are frustrated — big time.
But is this all Rebecca Budig’s fault, or is the writing team setting her up to fail?
A lot of fans are leaning toward the writing.
They say even a top-tier actress would struggle with what little Taylor’s been given to work with lately.
Her scenes mostly revolve around bashing the Logans and throwing herself into a recycled storyline.
There’s zero growth or real substance.
The biggest issue, though, might be how the show continues to ignore Taylor’s history.
She’s missed out on most of her kids’ lives.
Thomas nearly died.
Steffy battled addiction.
And she wasn’t there for any of it.
Yet somehow, when she pops back in, the show wants us to think she’s the best mom ever.
Like — Steffy and Thomas should have major issues with her missing out,
but instead it’s all hugs and love.
It just doesn’t make sense.
And while fans are already frustrated with the storyline,
the casting of Budig hasn’t helped.
She’s a great actress — I mean, she’s an Emmy-nominated actress —
but she simply doesn’t feel like Taylor.
The connection just isn’t there.
Some fans are even saying they’ve stopped watching because of the change.
I guess you know this. Your boyfriend is the best-looking guy on campus.
So, could all these reactions from viewers push B&B to recast Taylor again?
And if Budig is really on her way out, fans have some names for replacement.
One name that keeps coming up — besides Hunter Tylo — is Kristian Alfonso,
aka Hope Brady from Days of Our Lives.
And honestly, she’s got the look, the presence, and the vibe
that fans think would make her a much stronger Taylor.
Compared to Budig, Alfonso feels more like Taylor — don’t you think?
Other options might include popular soap women like Stacy Haiduk, Gina Tognoni, and recent General Hospital exit, Kelly Monaco.
What do you guys think?
Is Rebecca Budig just the wrong pick for Taylor?
Or is the writing the real issue here?
Or hey — maybe you’ve got someone else in mind who could totally slay this role.
