It’s almost time to pop the champagne, roll out the red carpet, and turn up the glam — because Nikki Newman’s birthday is right around the corner.
And if you know Nikki or Victor, you know this isn’t just going to be some casual cake-and-balloon situation.
This is going to be the party of the year.
And just when we thought it couldn’t get any more extra, The Young and the Restless drops a surprise guest star on us — Jai Rodriguez!
Yep, the fabulous Queer Eye for the Straight Guy alum is heading to Y&R in a special guest role.
And honestly? We are here for it.
Fans might remember Rodriguez from way back when he made his TV debut on All My Children as Fate’s dad.
Since then, he’s been popping up here and there — on One Life to Live as Andrew, Days of Our Lives as Matteo, and The Bold and the Beautiful as Photographer Sachs.
But not just in daytime!
Rodriguez has racked up quite the resume in primetime shows as well — from Grey’s Anatomy and The Rookie to Dollface, The Resident, Eastsiders, and Uncoupled.
You may have also seen him on the big screen in Judd Apatow’s comedy Bros, where he played Jason.
Oh — and did we mention he totally slayed Broadway too?
Yep, he was Angel in Rent and starred in Zanna, Don’t.
So when we say this guy brings flair wherever he goes, we mean it.
And now — he’s coming to Y&R.
According to Us Weekly, Rodriguez is joining Y&R as Pro — a fabulous and highly in-demand party planner who’s got all the GC movers and shakers on speed dial.
And he’s stepping in just in time to whip Nikki Newman’s birthday bash into a glittery masterpiece.
We’re talking four full episodes of party-planning drama, surprises, and probably a few secrets with the cocktails.
You can catch Rodriguez from May 28th to May 31st.
And we already know Nikki’s party is going to be totally over the top — because when you’re married to Victor Newman, low-key isn’t an option.
In fact, Rodriguez himself took to Instagram to announce this exciting news, saying:
“It’s been really fun working on this iconic show and its very welcoming cast. Can’t wait for y’all to get into this hilarious role!”
And we can’t wait to see him either.
