In an interview with Soap Opera Digest, Hope confessed that Sally still has lingering feelings for Adam. Yep — there’s still a spark in that scorched love story. But just because she still cares doesn’t mean she’s ready to jump back into his arms.

Courtney explained that Sally’s not just nursing a broken heart — she’s also setting some firm boundaries. “It’s not about whether she still loves Adam more than anything. It’s a boundary and a will that she has to have for herself not to fall for him again, because she was disrespected.”

She said, “You can care about someone and love someone, but when they take advantage of you, you have to turn the page.” Basically, love can still exist — but trust? That’s a whole other story.

Sally knows what Adam did cut deep, and she’s not about to let herself be a doormat just because her heart still skips a beat when he walks into the room. But with that said… never say never, am I right?

Hope also spilled some deeper insight into Sally’s emotional wiring — and honestly, it explains a lot. At the heart of it all, Sally’s biggest dream is to have the kind of family she never got growing up. She wants the whole package: love, career, stability — someone who gets her.

But at her core, Sally’s terrified of being left behind. She fears she can’t juggle everything on her own, and that people will always walk away when she needs them most.

And that’s where Adam comes in. Adam understands who she is to the core — and he loved her anyway. She said he helped her evolve into the person she needed to be. They are, in many ways, cut from the same cloth. But at the same time, they trigger one another so terribly.
