The Young and the Restless

Y&R in Mourning: Joshua Morrow Dies at 54! Very Heartbreaking 😭 News! It Will Shock You.

The Young and the Restless Star Joshua Morrow Issues Warning After Fake Account Targets Fans

In the world of daytime television, fake social media accounts continue to be a persistent problem — and once again, a beloved soap star is speaking out. Joshua Morrow, who plays Nick Newman on The Young and the Restless, has issued a strong warning to fans after a scammer impersonated him online in an attempt to solicit money.

A Fake Joshua Morrow Account Resurfaces an Old Post

The situation unfolded when a fraudulent account under the name “Joshua Marorrow 57” interacted with a fan on an old Instagram post from 2017. The original post showed Morrow’s son, Crew — who once appeared on The Bold and the Beautiful as young Will Spencer — after suffering a sports-related injury that landed him in the hospital.

At the time, Morrow captioned the photo:

“I love having hyper-athletic boys who are fearless. Downside is the emergency rooms have the Morrows on speed dial.”

A fan replied with a kind message wishing Crew a speedy recovery. But on November 12 of this year, the fake account resurfaced the post and responded:

“Thank you so much, my beloved fan. I want you to support on his medicine bills.”

Joshua Morrow Responds — and Sets the Record Straight

The alarming message quickly came to Morrow’s attention, prompting the actor to publicly call out the impersonator. He emphasized that not only was the account fake, but that no public figure or soap actor would ever solicit money from fans.

Morrow wrote:

“This is a fake.”
“Nobody on our show or anyone in the public eye is going to do that. Be smart.”

His firm statement serves as a reminder that scammers frequently target loyal soap fans by pretending to be actors or using old content to appear legitimate.

A Growing Problem Among Soap Stars

Morrow isn’t the only Y&R cast member who has had to speak up. Earlier this year, Mark Grossman, who plays his on-screen brother Adam Newman, also issued a strong warning after imposters attempted to lure fans into private conversations and financial scams.

Across all daytime dramas, fake accounts have been consistently impersonating actors, often trying to exploit fans’ affection and trust.

A Message to Fans: Stay Alert

As Morrow reinforced, fans should remain cautious and avoid engaging with suspicious profiles, especially those asking for money, personal information, or private conversations.

Social media impersonation remains an ongoing concern, but with vigilance and awareness, the soap community can help prevent others from falling victim to scams.

Stay safe, stay smart, and always verify — even in the world of soaps, not every twist has a happy ending.
