Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Johnny Turns Against EJ as Sarah and Xander Move Toward a Reunion

EJ DiMera’s web of lies may finally begin to collapse on Days of Our Lives. Johnny confronts his father over the drugs found in Holly Jonas’ hospital bag, while Leo Stark recruits Melinda Trask for a mysterious mission that could expose several of EJ’s crimes.

Elsewhere, Sarah Horton and Brady Black exchange declarations of love, but their new romance may already be heading toward disaster. A quiet moment between Sarah and Xander Kiriakis could make her realize where her heart truly belongs. Steve and Kayla Johnson also face a family crisis as Stephanie’s increasingly unstable behavior threatens her marriage and her future.

Johnny demands answers about Holly

Johnny is no longer willing to ignore the disturbing accusations surrounding his father. He directly asks EJ whether he planted the tainted Corazal drugs in Holly’s bag.

Although EJ is responsible, he is unlikely to confess.

EJ may look his son in the eye and insist that Holly made reckless choices on her own. He could also claim that someone else planted the pills or that the entire situation has been misunderstood.

Johnny, however, knows his father too well to accept an easy denial.

The accusation is particularly disturbing because of EJ’s history with Nicole Walker. EJ once claimed to love Nicole and played an important role in her children’s lives. Framing Nicole’s grieving teenage daughter to protect himself would therefore represent a betrayal that Johnny may find impossible to forgive.

EJ appears willing to sacrifice Holly to conceal the dangerous side effects of a pharmaceutical product and protect himself from the consequences of his company’s negligence. His actions are no longer motivated by family loyalty but by fear and self-preservation.

Johnny may help bring down his father

Johnny has often tried to separate himself from the darkest parts of the DiMera legacy. He wants to believe that he can maintain a relationship with EJ without becoming complicit in his crimes.

The Holly scandal may finally destroy that possibility.

Johnny is already under enormous emotional pressure because of Chanel’s frightening health battle. He has little patience left for EJ’s schemes, particularly when an innocent young woman is being harmed.

Rather than protecting the family name, Johnny may decide to cooperate with the people investigating EJ. He could take what he knows to Rafe or Cat Greene and help strengthen the case against his father.

That decision would create an explosive fracture within the DiMera family. EJ may see Johnny’s cooperation as a personal betrayal, while Johnny may argue that EJ betrayed the family first by framing Holly.

Leo asks Melinda for help

EJ’s problems grow when Leo approaches Melinda Trask and persuades her to assist him.

Although Leo’s request could involve Gabi’s financial or inheritance troubles, Gwen’s disappearance appears to be a more likely explanation. Gwen has stopped returning calls following her major conflict with EJ over the Resurrection Serum project and its potential profits.

Leo knows Gwen better than almost anyone. If she believed EJ intended to betray her, she may have prepared an insurance policy before disappearing.

Gwen could have collected evidence connected to EJ’s recent crimes, including the tainted medication, illegal laboratory activity and the efforts to conceal what happened. She may then have placed those documents in the hands of an attorney with instructions to release them if anything happened to her.

Melinda would be the perfect person to hold such evidence. She is aggressive, legally experienced and unlikely to be intimidated by EJ’s wealth or influence.

If Leo is activating Gwen’s emergency plan, EJ could soon find himself surrounded by enemies. Johnny, Leo, Melinda, Rafe and Cat may all begin closing in on him at the same time.

Sarah and Brady say “I love you”

While EJ’s empire begins to crack, Sarah and Brady take a major step in their relationship by admitting that they love each other.

However, their feelings may be built more on shared trauma than lasting compatibility.

Sarah and Brady have grown closer while dealing with the investigation into the tainted drugs and the emotional consequences of a patient’s death. The intensity of those circumstances has created a powerful bond, but once the crisis begins to settle, Sarah may question whether she truly wants a future with Brady.

Brady has a long history of falling quickly for women during emotionally difficult periods. He often becomes deeply invested when he feels he can rescue or support someone.

Sarah may eventually realize that their relationship offered her safety and distraction rather than the love she has been trying to replace.

Sarah and Xander share a peaceful moment

The strongest indication that Sarah and Brady will not last comes when Sarah shares a quiet and meaningful moment with Xander.

Xander and Sarah have endured betrayals, separations, kidnappings and the painful baby-switch scandal. Their relationship has repeatedly collapsed under the weight of Xander’s terrible decisions, but their emotional connection has never disappeared.

Xander has recently shown Sarah a more patient and supportive side. Instead of demanding another chance, he has allowed her space while remaining available when she needs him.

That restraint could make Sarah reconsider everything.

Her moment with Xander may remind her that Brady is not the man she truly wants. Sarah could finally admit that she has been using the new relationship to avoid confronting her unresolved feelings for her former husband.

A reunion would not erase Xander’s past, but it could begin a new chapter in which he must prove that his desire to become a better man is genuine.

Brady faces another heartbreak

Brady will likely be devastated when Sarah pulls away.

He may have interpreted their shared declaration as proof that they were building a real future together. Discovering that Sarah still loves Xander could leave him feeling used, even if that was never her intention.

The breakup may also force Brady to examine his tendency to enter intense relationships during periods of crisis. Instead of immediately pursuing another romance, he may need to focus on Rachel and his own emotional stability.

For Sarah, the choice between Brady and Xander will be about more than passion. She must decide whether she can truly trust Xander again after everything he has done.

Kayla worries about Gwen

Kayla has reason to feel optimistic about Salem University Hospital after removing EJ’s influence from its leadership. She believes the institution will operate more ethically without him controlling important decisions.

Her professional success is overshadowed by her fear for Gwen.

Gwen’s failure to answer calls makes Kayla suspect that something is seriously wrong. If EJ arranged for Gwen to be kidnapped or silenced, Kayla may regret not recognizing the danger sooner.

Her concern could encourage Steve to investigate Gwen’s disappearance. Any evidence he finds may connect EJ to an even larger criminal operation.

Stephanie’s behavior alarms Steve and Kayla

The most personal crisis for Steve and Kayla involves their daughter.

Stephanie’s marriage to Alex is collapsing after jealousy led her to make a series of destructive decisions. Deleting an urgent voicemail concerning baby Kelsey crossed a line that Alex may not be able to forgive.

Stephanie’s trauma from her kidnapping provides context for her emotional instability, but it does not excuse behavior that placed others at risk. Her jealousy has become increasingly obsessive, and her decision to reach for a gun suggests she may now be dangerous to herself and those around her.

Steve and Kayla may be forced to intervene.

If Stephanie refuses voluntary treatment, Steve could consider arranging an emergency psychiatric evaluation at Bayview. Such a decision would devastate both parents, but they may conclude that intensive help is the only way to prevent a tragedy.

With Johnny turning against EJ, Leo activating Gwen’s possible insurance policy and Sarah moving closer to Xander, several Salem relationships are approaching their breaking points. The biggest question is whether EJ can escape responsibility again—or whether his own son will become the person who finally brings him down.
