Days of Our Lives: Who Is the Mystery Billionaire Buying the Kiriakis Mansion?
Days of Our Lives: Who Is the Mystery Billionaire Buying the Kiriakis Mansion?
Days of Our Lives has introduced a new mystery that could completely reshape the Kiriakis family’s future. Xander recently told Sarah that he has found a buyer for the family estate, and the offer could provide the cash needed to help save Titan.
There is just one major question.
Who is the mysterious billionaire willing to pay a fortune for the Kiriakis mansion?
Xander has only revealed that the prospective buyer is a wealthy foreign investor with ties to Italy and the hedge-fund world. That vague description has opened the door to several possibilities — including familiar Salem troublemakers, supposedly dead characters and even a potential new member of the DiMera family.
Xander Is Desperate to Keep EJ Away From the Mansion
Xander and Philip are still scrambling after EJ DiMera called in Titan’s enormous $200 million loan.
EJ became furious after discovering that Gabi had used part of Stefan’s inheritance to help Titan cover payments on the debt. The idea that DiMera money was being used to support Victor Kiriakis’ company was apparently more than EJ could tolerate.
As a result, EJ demanded repayment.
That has left Xander and Philip searching desperately for ways to raise cash.
Philip has already come up with one dangerous plan: entering a high-stakes poker game in Monte Carlo using $5 million borrowed from Gabi.
Considering Philip’s history with gambling addiction, that plan could end disastrously.
Gabi initially refused to finance the scheme, but Philip’s desperation apparently convinced her to reconsider. The two are now keeping their arrangement hidden from Xander and the rest of the family.
Meanwhile, Xander believes selling the mansion may be the safest way to protect Titan.
Maggie has reluctantly agreed.
The family does not want to lose Victor’s beloved home, but they seem even more determined to prevent EJ from acquiring it.
That makes the mystery buyer extremely important.
Could Dimitri von Leuschner Be Behind the Offer?
One intriguing possibility is Dimitri von Leuschner.
Dimitri is not technically Italian, but he has enough wealth, criminal experience and connections to create a convincing false identity.
When viewers first met Dimitri in Beyond Salem, he was already operating under another identity while pretending to be an ISA agent.
Creating another fake persona would hardly be difficult for him.
Dimitri also has a personal reason to establish himself in Salem: Leo Stark.
Although Dimitri recently allowed Leo to return to Salem, his feelings for him have not necessarily disappeared.
Buying the Kiriakis mansion could give Dimitri a spectacular way to return to town and remain close to Leo.
There is even a strange connection between Leo and the mansion. Leo once spent time there while targeting Sonny Kiriakis, meaning Dimitri could associate the property with Leo’s past.
A billionaire secretly purchasing the mansion because of an obsession with Leo would certainly fit Days of Our Lives.
Sami’s Italian Fiancé Dante Could Be the Buyer
Another candidate may be someone viewers have heard about but have never actually met.
Sami Brady’s wealthy Italian fiancé, Dante Vitali, could fit the description extremely well.
Sami previously announced her engagement to Dante, who comes from the more respectable side of the Vitali family.
Unlike Ava Vitali’s violent mob connections, Dante could potentially be presented as a legitimate businessman with serious financial resources.
If Sami is eventually returning to Salem for another major storyline, Dante purchasing the Kiriakis estate could establish their place in town before they even arrive.
It would also immediately create conflict with EJ.
EJ was hardly thrilled by Sami’s engagement, so watching her wealthy new fiancé move into one of Salem’s grandest homes would undoubtedly provoke him.
Dante could even purchase the estate as a gift for Sami.
Imagine Sami returning to Salem not only engaged to a billionaire but preparing to hold an extravagant wedding inside the former Kiriakis mansion.
That would put her directly in EJ’s orbit.
Could the Buyer Be a Completely New Character?
There is also the possibility that Days is setting up the arrival of a new wealthy character.
A mysterious newcomer expected to arrive in Salem could potentially be connected to the purchase.
With very little information available about certain upcoming characters, it is possible that someone new will enter the story already holding considerable financial power.
Such a person could instantly become involved with Titan, the Kiriakis family and Salem’s business wars simply by purchasing the estate.
But there may be an even bigger mystery connected to the mansion.
The Buyer Could Be Connected to the DiMera Chess Mystery
Belle Black and Chad DiMera have been investigating the strange chessboard mystery, and the storyline appears increasingly connected to Italy.
Marlena is also becoming involved.
That has renewed speculation about an old possibility involving Stefano DiMera.
Earlier story hints raised the question of whether Stefano and Marlena might somehow have had a secret child.
Given Stefano’s obsession with his “Queen of the Night” and Dr. Rolf’s history of bizarre medical experiments, virtually anything is possible.
If another previously unknown DiMera heir exists, that person could easily have access to enormous wealth.
An Italian billionaire secretly buying the Kiriakis mansion would therefore become especially ironic.
Xander and Philip are selling specifically because they do not want the property falling into EJ DiMera’s hands.
Imagine their reaction if they later discover they sold it to another DiMera instead.
With Chad and Belle possibly heading toward Italy as part of their investigation, they could even encounter the mysterious buyer before understanding who that person really is.
What If Stefan DiMera Is Still Alive?
Perhaps the wildest possibility is Stefan DiMera.
Fans have remained suspicious about Stefan’s supposed death.
Although official documentation eventually declared him dead, the circumstances have always left room for doubt — especially in Salem.
His mother, Vivian Alamain, has a long history of manipulation, fake deaths and elaborate schemes.
It would hardly be shocking if Stefan were alive somewhere.
If Stefan discovered that Gabi had become close to Philip and was living at the Kiriakis mansion, he might have a very personal reason to purchase the property.
He could return using an alias, secretly build a new financial empire and then reveal himself as the mansion’s owner.
That would immediately place him in the middle of Gabi and Philip’s relationship.
It would also explain why the buyer is being kept mysterious.
A Stefan return could become even more dramatic if Vivian has been feeding him false information about what happened after his disappearance.
He could arrive furious, wealthy and ready for revenge.
Considering how often characters return from the dead on Days of Our Lives, Stefan can never completely be ruled out.
Vivian Alamain Could Be Pulling the Strings
Vivian herself is another possibility.
She is also presumed dead, but that has rarely meant much in Salem.
Vivian previously interfered with Victor’s estate by forging documents that helped Philip claim part of the inheritance.
Despite all her manipulation, Vivian has always been deeply attached to Philip.
If she learned that Philip was about to lose Victor’s home, Vivian might decide to intervene.
Rather than revealing herself, she could secretly finance another person to pose as the buyer.
Her ultimate plan could be to acquire Kiriakis assets while the family is desperate and later hand control to Philip.
It would be manipulative, outrageous and completely consistent with Vivian’s personality.
The Mansion Sale Could Trigger a Major Salem Reveal
For now, Xander believes selling the estate is the best way to keep Titan alive and prevent EJ from taking control.
But mystery buyers almost never remain mysterious forever.
Whether the billionaire turns out to be Dimitri, Dante, Stefan, Vivian, a secret DiMera heir or someone completely unexpected, the new owner of Victor Kiriakis’ mansion could become one of Salem’s most important players.
And if Xander discovers that he accidentally handed his family’s home to someone even more dangerous than EJ, saving Titan may only be the beginning of his problems.
