General Hospital Theory: Did Stella Rig Portia’s Paternity Test to Make Curtis the Father?

General Hospital Theory: Did Stella Rig Portia’s Paternity Test to Make Curtis the Father?

A joyful new arrival on General Hospital may be setting the stage for one of the Ashford family’s biggest scandals yet.

Portia Robinson has finally given birth to her baby boy, with Jordan Ashford unexpectedly helping deliver the child before paramedics arrived. Curtis Ashford will soon meet the newborn he believes is his son, but one major question remains: Are the paternity-test results really accurate?

A growing fan theory suggests Aunt Stella Henry may have secretly altered the test to ensure Curtis was named as the baby’s father.

The show has not confirmed any such twist, so this remains speculation. However, Stella’s history of interfering in Curtis’s relationships makes the possibility difficult to dismiss.

Jordan Helps Portia Deliver Her Baby

Portia went into labor after a heated confrontation with Jordan, who blamed her for the criminal and civil trouble Curtis is currently facing. Jordan later returned and found Portia preparing to give birth without medical assistance.

Despite the tension between them, Portia had little choice but to accept Jordan’s help. Jordan called for an ambulance and stayed long enough to help deliver the baby safely.

The experience could become a turning point in their complicated relationship, although Portia may not be ready to forgive Jordan for her recent behavior.

Once Portia and the newborn arrive at General Hospital, Curtis is expected to visit them. Portia will introduce him to the baby by telling him to meet his son.

Curtis is likely to be overwhelmed with happiness, but that peaceful moment may not last long.

Isaiah Gannon will also arrive to check on Portia. Stella reportedly attempts to stop him, insisting that Portia and Curtis deserve time alone as a family. Isaiah, however, may refuse to stay away.

His presence could immediately create tension, especially after Curtis assaulted him and has shown little remorse.

Why Stella Wanted Curtis to Be the Father

Stella was deeply invested in keeping Curtis and Portia together, even after their marriage had effectively ended.

When Curtis walked out after Portia warned him that leaving would mean their marriage was over, Stella continued encouraging them to reconcile. She became even more determined after discovering Portia was pregnant.

Stella initially assumed the baby belonged to Curtis. She viewed the pregnancy as a possible reason for the couple to repair their marriage and rebuild their family.

However, Portia was uncertain about the baby’s paternity because she had become involved with Isaiah after Curtis left her.

Isaiah was excited by the possibility that he could become a father. Portia also appeared conflicted when the paternity test identified Curtis as the father. Curtis and Stella were thrilled, while Isaiah was visibly disappointed.

That reaction may have revealed just how badly Stella wanted the baby to belong to Curtis.

Stella may also believe Portia owes Curtis after previously allowing Marcus Taggert to raise Trina without revealing that Curtis was her biological father. In Stella’s mind, giving Curtis the opportunity to raise Portia’s new baby could have seemed like justice.

She may also have considered Portia’s relationship with Isaiah an act of betrayal, even though Curtis had already walked away from the marriage.

Stella Has Interfered Before

The theory becomes more believable when Stella’s past behavior is considered.

During Curtis and Jordan’s divorce, Stella decided they should remain together. Jordan had signed the divorce papers and placed them in her outgoing office mail, but Stella secretly removed the envelope.

Her interference prevented the divorce from being finalized.

Stella eventually intended to mail the documents after realizing Curtis and Jordan were not reconciling. However, she suffered a medical emergency, coffee was spilled on the envelope and the papers were accidentally discarded.

The truth did not emerge until Curtis was preparing to marry Portia. Curtis and Jordan had both believed their divorce was complete, forcing them to file the paperwork again.

That storyline proved Stella is willing to interfere with legal documents when she believes she knows what is best for Curtis.

Tampering with a paternity test would be far more serious, but the motivation would be similar.

Could Stella Have Access to the Results?

Stella works at General Hospital, potentially giving her access to hospital systems, laboratories and medical information.

She may have entered the lab, switched a sample or altered the recorded results. Stella could have convinced herself that Curtis deserved another opportunity to be a father and that Isaiah deserved to be punished for becoming involved with Portia.

She may even have believed she was protecting the baby by connecting him to the Ashford family.

If the test was altered, the truth could emerge through a medical emergency involving the newborn. A blood-type discrepancy, genetic condition or need for a compatible donor could prove that Curtis is biologically incapable of being the child’s father.

Such a revelation would point directly toward Isaiah.

The Truth May Not Come Out Immediately

Even if Stella changed the results, General Hospital may delay the revelation.

Curtis still faces possible criminal consequences for attacking Isaiah. Isaiah may also pursue a civil case over his injuries. Meanwhile, Curtis could become increasingly controlling about Portia’s baby and demand that Isaiah stay away.

That would make the eventual truth even more devastating.

Curtis could spend months bonding with the child and treating Isaiah like an unwanted outsider, only to discover that Isaiah was the biological father all along.

Portia would be furious, Isaiah would lose valuable time with his son and Stella could face serious personal and legal consequences.

For now, Curtis believes he is celebrating the arrival of his newborn son. But if Stella secretly manipulated the paternity test, the Ashford family’s happiest moment may be built on a lie.
