Will and Dylan Cross a Major Line
The biggest shock begins at the beach house, where Will and Melissa Dylan finally give in completely to the attraction that has been building between them.
What starts as another intimate moment quickly becomes something far more explosive when the pair share a passionate encounter in the outdoor shower—apparently forgetting that privacy is never guaranteed in a soap opera.
Unfortunately for them, Katie arrives.
And she is furious.
Katie has already been suspicious of Dylan’s intentions toward her son, but seeing Will and Dylan together confirms her worst fears. She believes Will is acting out of heartbreak rather than genuinely moving forward with his life.
“You are not going to mend your broken heart with this. This is not the answer,” Katie tells him.
Her concern is understandable. Will is still emotionally damaged following the collapse of his relationship with Electra, and Katie believes Dylan has entered his life at exactly the moment when he is most vulnerable.
But Katie’s attitude toward Dylan is also becoming increasingly personal.
She appears convinced that Dylan is an opportunist who sees Will—and the Spencer fortune—as an opportunity to escape her difficult past. Dylan was previously homeless and living in her car before Will helped her by giving her somewhere to stay.
Katie clearly views that history as a warning sign.

Dylan Calls Her Mother for Backup

She contacts her mother, Darcy Dylan.
“I’ll get out there as soon as I can,” Darcy promises.
Dylan’s relieved response—“Thank you, Mom, so much”—suggests that Katie may soon discover she is no longer dealing with only one member of the Dylan family.
Darcy’s arrival could completely change the balance of power.
According to the preview, Kelly Sullivan is taking on the role of Darcy Dylan, with the character expected to make her debut on August 27.
That immediately sets up the possibility of a major mother-versus-mother confrontation.
Katie wants to protect Will.
Darcy will presumably want to protect Dylan.
And neither woman appears likely to back down easily.

“I model our marriage after Steffy and Finn,” she tells him.

Carter is carrying the enormous secret of his encounter with Steffy.
Daphne believes she is talking about two strong marriages. In reality, the people she is praising are connected by the very betrayal that could destroy her own relationship.
Carter therefore finds himself trapped.
Telling Daphne the truth could end their marriage.
Keeping quiet could make the eventual revelation even more painful.
Finn Makes a Promise Steffy May Not Be Able to Keep
At the same time, Finn is unknowingly making Steffy’s guilt even harder to bear.
“Nothing in our future can ever come between us,” he tells his wife.
Steffy knows that something already has.
She appears increasingly uncomfortable keeping what happened with Carter hidden, particularly because honesty has previously been such an important issue in her marriage.
That creates an especially painful contradiction.
