The Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers for July 20–24: Eric’s Meltdown Goes Viral as R.J.’s Brawl Leaves Him Injured
The week of July 20–24 promises public humiliation, family warfare and a shocking accident on The Bold and the Beautiful. Eric Forrester’s highly anticipated couture launch spirals into a public-relations disaster, Bill Spencer takes full advantage of the chaos and Brooke Logan returns to Los Angeles in an increasingly volatile state.
Meanwhile, R.J. Forrester starts a physical confrontation at Bikini Bar that ends with Eric getting hurt. Although R.J. appears to instigate the fight, Will Spencer may be the one blamed for everything.
Monday, July 20: Eric’s Couture Interview Becomes a PR Nightmare
The week begins with Eric launching his latest couture collection at Forrester Creations. Models take to the runway while the company presents the show through a livestream.
Ridge and the rest of the Forrester team decide that Eric will give only one interview. Unfortunately, that interview becomes the biggest story of the event—and not because of the clothes.
Instead of focusing on his designs, Eric launches into an angry tirade against Katie Logan and her new fashion house. He accuses Logan of trying to steal Forrester’s attention and suggests that the startup company is involved in theft.
At Logan, Katie and Hope watch the livestream in disbelief as Eric’s interview becomes increasingly hostile.
Eric’s accusations are especially painful for Katie because he was the person who insisted on working for her company. He voluntarily signed a contract, accepted payment and contributed designs before abruptly returning to Forrester after Ridge attempted to repair their relationship.
The public does not appear impressed by Eric’s behavior. Clips from the interview spread online, and his outburst quickly becomes the subject of memes and ridicule.
Bill Spencer is delighted by the backlash.
He shows Katie how Eric’s comments are damaging Forrester Creations while increasing public sympathy for Logan. Bill believes Eric’s meltdown has worked entirely in their favor, even though Logan did not need the additional publicity.
Katie, however, is not amused.
She is deeply hurt that a man she once respected publicly portrayed her as a dishonest, backstabbing thief with no style. Bill reminds her that the public appears to support Logan, but Katie admits that hearing Eric speak about her that way is devastating.
Elsewhere, Will stands beside Bill and angrily warns someone not to insult his mother. The confrontation may involve R.J. or another member of the Forrester family.
Monday also brings developments in Sheila Carter’s ongoing redemption story. Deacon Sharpe and Finn Finnegan increasingly believe Sheila has genuinely changed. Taylor Hayes remains cautiously hopeful, but Steffy Forrester refuses to accept that Sheila could ever become trustworthy.
Tuesday, July 21: R.J. Attacks Will at Bikini Bar
The conflict moves to Bikini Bar on Tuesday, where Will encounters Electra Forrester.
Will apparently wants Electra to leave with him, but Eric interferes and declares that she is not going anywhere with Will.
After weeks of being judged and controlled by the Forresters, Will finally loses patience. He tells Eric that he will make his own decisions.
R.J. then aggressively grabs Will by the shirt and confronts him for speaking disrespectfully to Eric. The situation quickly becomes physical, with R.J. and Will grappling inside the bar.
R.J. clearly initiates the physical contact, but Eric steps between the two younger men in an attempt to stop the fight.
During the struggle, Will accidentally strikes Eric.
Eric is injured, but the Forresters may ignore R.J.’s role in starting the fight and place all the responsibility on Will. The incident could become another example of the family protecting one of its own while treating a Spencer as the sole villain.
Wednesday, July 22: Electra Turns Against Will
The Forrester-Spencer feud becomes even more intense after Eric is hit.
Eric must sit down while Electra kneels beside him and checks on his condition. She appears furious and directs an angry glare toward someone nearby, most likely Will.
Although Eric’s injury was accidental, Electra may accept Ridge and Eric’s repeated claims that Will is dangerous. The incident could become the final breaking point in her relationship with him.
Rather than defending Will or acknowledging that R.J. started the fight, Electra may blame him for hurting Eric.
R.J., meanwhile, presents himself as a defender of the Forrester family. There is also a possibility that the family could involve the police, despite the fact that R.J.’s aggressive behavior triggered the entire confrontation.
Will may once again find himself isolated and treated as the enemy, while the Forresters refuse to examine their own actions.
Thursday, July 23: Brooke Blames Katie for the Family War
Brooke returns from the wellness center and immediately becomes involved in the conflict.
At the Forrester mansion, she confronts Katie and accuses her of wanting a war between their families. Ridge stands beside Brooke while Donna attempts to care for an injured and disheveled Eric.
Katie tries to make peace and apologizes to Eric for what happened. She clearly feels terrible that he was hurt, but the accident had nothing to do with her company or his designs.
R.J. started a fight, and Eric made the risky decision to step between two much younger men.
Brooke is unlikely to acknowledge those facts. Her recent behavior toward Katie has already been aggressive, and her return from the wellness center does not appear to have made her calmer.
The Forresters also draw a firm line regarding Will and Electra. They insist that the couple cannot be together and that Will should stay away from her permanently.
Their interference may push Electra to end the relationship herself, leaving Will devastated.
Friday, July 24: Katie Confronts Eric as Dylan Supports Will
By the end of the week, Eric and Katie discuss their complicated history.
Katie is visibly upset at the Forrester mansion, especially after Eric’s cruel public interview. She may finally demand that he admit the truth about how he became involved with Logan.
Eric was not tricked or manipulated into designing for Katie. He insisted on helping her, signed an agreement and accepted payment. His decision to abandon the project came only after Ridge attempted to repair their damaged father-son relationship.
If Eric refuses to take responsibility, Katie may call him out in front of Brooke and Ridge.
At the same time, Will struggles with the emotional consequences of the Bikini Bar incident. Electra may reject him completely, while the Forresters blame him for Eric’s injury.
Dylan steps forward to support Will when he feels abandoned.
Unlike Electra, Dylan has consistently defended him and argued that he deserves better treatment. Her compassion could help Will realize that he has been fighting for someone who refuses to stand beside him.
The growing connection between Will and Dylan may soon become one of the show’s most important new romantic storylines.
With Eric publicly unraveling, Brooke attacking Katie and the Forrester-Spencer feud becoming physical, the week could permanently change several relationships on The Bold and the Beautiful.
