Young and the Restless Two-Week Spoilers: Billy Takes Chancellor, Victor Strikes Back, Lily Explodes and Nate Finds New Romance
Young and the Restless Two-Week Spoilers: Billy Takes Chancellor, Victor Strikes Back, Lily Explodes and Nate Finds New Romance
The Young and the Restless is heading into two explosive weeks from August 17 through August 28, and Billy Abbott may be about to make enemies all over Genoa City.
Billy’s obsession with Chancellor reaches a stunning new level when he claims that an old debt gives the Abbott family ownership of the company. Lily Winters is furious, Cane Ashby declares war, and Victor Newman sees another perfect opportunity to destroy Billy.
Meanwhile, Nate Hastings grows closer to Stephanie, Victoria Newman’s connection with Kyle Abbott heats up, Adam and Chelsea clash over Billy, and Sally Spectra begins wondering whether Billy’s latest crusade will destroy their future.
Here is what fans can expect.
Monday, August 17: Lily Fires Billy — But Billy Drops a Bombshell
Billy arrives eager to share what he believes is life-changing news, but Lily beats him to the punch.
She fires him.
Lily also demands that Billy return the Chancellor documents he took. Billy, however, refuses to panic.
Instead, he tells her that she cannot fire him because, according to the documents he uncovered, Billy now owns Chancellor.
Billy explains that his father, John Abbott, once loaned Philip Chancellor money. The agreement allegedly stated that if the loan was not repaid within 20 years, ownership of Chancellor would transfer to John.
Billy claims the debt was never repaid.
John apparently never enforced the agreement, and Billy suspects Katherine Chancellor may not even have known about it.
But Billy insists none of that matters legally.
Cane is furious.
He accuses Billy of behaving like a spoiled child and wasting the opportunity Cane gave him. Billy fires back that Jill Abbott may have deliberately hidden the secret from him and suggests that her decision to sell Chancellor to Victor could have been connected to the old debt.
Cane asks Holden whether he discovered anything useful about Billy’s investigation, but Holden has nothing.
Billy then casually informs Holden that he no longer has a job.
That is enough to send Cane over the edge.
The Abbotts Fear Billy Is Going Too Far
At Jabot, Jack Abbott tells Ashley and Traci about the Chancellor documents.
Kyle is already having the paperwork reviewed by attorneys.
Jack is deeply concerned.
He is less worried about Lily and Cane losing Chancellor than he is about what Billy’s obsession could do to the Abbott family—and to John Abbott’s legacy.
Ashley believes Jill may have hidden the truth to protect herself, and she even suggests Billy’s discovery could ultimately be good for him.
Traci, however, sees the emotional toll the drama is taking on everyone.
She warns Jack that becoming involved in Billy’s chaos could hurt his own recovery.
Eventually, Jack, Ashley and Traci agree to stay out of the fight and allow Billy to make his own decisions.
That promise may not last long.
Cane soon arrives at the Abbott home and asks Jack to help stop Billy before the situation gets completely out of control.
Nate and Stephanie Turn Up the Heat
While Billy is creating chaos, Nate Hastings may finally have something positive happening in his life.
Stephanie discusses the surgery that could potentially allow Nate to operate again.
Nate insists that even if the procedure does not work, he can accept the outcome. But he admits that he hopes healing physically may also help repair his strained relationship with Devon.
Nate cooks for Stephanie, and the chemistry between them becomes increasingly obvious.
He eventually asks her to attend a sporting event and dinner.
Stephanie agrees—but with one change.
She would rather have Nate cook for her again.
The flirting is definitely heating up, and Stephanie’s son Holden may soon have something to say about the growing relationship.
Tuesday, August 18: Cane Finds an Ally Against Billy
Cane realizes he may not be able to defeat Billy alone.
He begins forming a new alliance, and Victor Newman could be the perfect partner.
Victor does not particularly trust Cane, but he despises Billy Abbott enough to temporarily put other differences aside.
If Victor joins Cane’s fight, Adam Newman and Newman Media could quickly become weapons in a public campaign against Billy.
Adam and Victoria may not be fans of Cane, but their feelings about Billy are considerably worse.
Elsewhere, Danny reveals a new project. It could involve a romantic song he has written for Christine.
Victoria’s bond with Kyle also deepens.
After their recent near-kiss, the two may finally cross the line and share a real kiss.
Considering Kyle’s history with Victoria’s daughter, that romance could create one of the most awkward family situations Genoa City has seen in years.
Wednesday, August 19: Victor Worries About Nick
Victor and Nikki discuss Nick Newman’s recovery.
Nick remains in rehab, but his connection with Marie could become a concern.
Romantic relationships during early recovery can complicate an already fragile situation, and Nikki may not be happy if she discovers how much time Nick is spending with Marie.
Kyle, meanwhile, enters damage-control mode.
He wants to protect Jabot, the Abbott family and John Abbott’s reputation from the fallout of Billy’s Chancellor claim.
Jack remains worried that Billy is spiraling and could eventually lose Sally because of his obsession.
Elsewhere, Matt asks Sharon a deeply personal question: Can she forgive him?
Thursday, August 20: Billy Celebrates With Audra
Billy is in an excellent mood when Audra runs into him at Society.
She asks what he is celebrating.
Billy invites her to join him and reveals his huge Chancellor news.
The pair toast with champagne, but there may be one major problem.
Sally may not know the full extent of what Billy has done yet.
When Sally learns about Billy’s plan to take Chancellor away from Lily and Cane, she is understandably worried.
She knows exactly what comes next.
Victor will retaliate.
And when Victor goes after Billy, he could also target Sally, Audra and their business.
Once again, Billy’s personal obsession may be putting everyone around him in danger.
Adam and Chelsea Fight Over Billy
Billy’s actions also create problems for Adam and Chelsea.
Adam has never trusted Billy and will likely support Victor’s efforts to bring him down.
Chelsea, however, has repeatedly defended Billy.
That disagreement could become increasingly serious as the Chancellor war escalates.
Chelsea may object if Victor orders Newman Media to launch a public smear campaign, putting her directly at odds with Adam.
A Girls’ Reunion Brings Some Relief
Elsewhere, Traci and Christine enjoy a night out at the Shadow Room when an old friend unexpectedly joins them.
With the Abbott family overwhelmed by Billy’s drama and Jack and Diane dealing with their own troubles, Traci desperately needs a break.
The reunion gives the women a rare moment of happiness in the middle of the growing chaos.
Friday, August 21: Victor Launches His Attack
Victor finally puts his plan to discredit Billy into motion.
Once Victor learns that Billy intends to claim Chancellor, there is little chance he will simply stand aside.
Newman Media may become Victor’s most powerful weapon.
A negative media campaign could portray Billy as unstable, greedy or dishonest, damaging his credibility before the legal fight over Chancellor even begins.
Whether Chelsea agrees to participate is another matter.
Sharon also receives an update from Nick’s rehabilitation center.
Fans will be watching closely to see whether Nick is making genuine progress or suffering another setback.
Lily, meanwhile, asks Jack for help.
She hopes Jack can convince Billy to abandon his Chancellor takeover.
Jack has already promised Ashley and Traci that he will stay out of Billy’s business, but Lily’s desperate plea could make him reconsider.
Week of August 24–28: Billy and Victor’s War Explodes
During the following week, Victor’s attack leaves Billy furious.
Instead of backing down, Billy is likely to escalate the fight.
That is exactly what Sally fears.
She may desperately try to convince Billy to stop before he loses everything, but Billy’s obsession with Chancellor could prove stronger than his commitment to their relationship.
The situation may become a painful test of whether Billy truly values his future with Sally more than winning another battle against Victor.
Sally and Billy Face a Relationship Crisis
Billy has repeatedly allowed revenge and ambition to dominate his life.
This time, Sally may finally reach her limit.
She understands that challenging Victor creates consequences for everyone connected to Billy.
If Billy refuses to listen, Sally could begin questioning whether she wants to build a future—and raise a child—with a man who constantly runs toward chaos.
Nate and Stephanie Grow Closer
Nate and Stephanie continue developing their romantic connection as he prepares for surgery.
Fans should soon learn whether the operation succeeds and whether Nate might eventually return to the operating room.
But Nate is also hoping for something emotional from this chapter of his life: reconciliation with Devon.
That may prove much more difficult than healing his hand.
Kyle and Victoria’s Romance Could Shock Claire
Kyle and Victoria’s growing closeness also promises major fallout.
If their relationship becomes romantic, Claire will eventually find out.
Considering her own history with Kyle, Claire’s reaction could be explosive.
At the same time, Claire continues bonding with Holden, and their relationship may soon reach the point where one of them says, “I love you.”
Lily and Cane Unite Against Billy
Billy may inadvertently accomplish something nobody expected.
By attacking Chancellor, he gives Lily and Cane a common enemy.
The two will be forced to work closely together to protect the company, and that partnership could strengthen their personal connection.
Holden is also firmly on Lily’s side and appears ready to help fight Billy.
Devon and Nate will likely have opinions of their own once the Chancellor battle spreads throughout Genoa City.
Phyllis May Cheer Billy On
Most people think Billy is making a huge mistake.
Phyllis, however, could love every second of it.
She enjoys chaos, has no love for Victor and carries plenty of resentment toward Cane.
Billy taking on all of them at once could be exactly the kind of spectacle Phyllis finds entertaining.
Meanwhile, Sharon continues struggling with whether she can truly forgive Matt as his connection with Phyllis also deepens.
The Abbott-Newman War Is Back
Billy’s Chancellor takeover may ultimately create something even bigger than a corporate lawsuit.
It could reignite the legendary Newman-Abbott feud.
Victor will not tolerate Billy making a power grab.
Billy will not tolerate Victor trying to destroy him.
Jack may desperately want to remain neutral, but if Victor attacks the Abbott name or John Abbott’s legacy, staying out of the conflict could become impossible.
And once Jack joins the battle, Genoa City could be looking at another full-scale war between its two most powerful families.
Over the next two weeks, Billy’s obsession threatens his relationship, his family and several powerful alliances.
The question is no longer whether Billy has started a war.
The question is how much he will lose before it finally ends.
Do you think Billy really has a legal claim to Chancellor—or will Victor and Cane destroy him before he can take control?
