General Hospital Spoilers July 27–31: Drew Nearly Drowns, Jason Gets Slapped and Valentin Makes a Dangerous Deal
General Hospital Spoilers July 27–31: Drew Nearly Drowns, Jason Gets Slapped and Valentin Makes a Dangerous Deal
General Hospital spoilers for the week of July 27–31 promise a dramatic rescue, dangerous blackmail and several emotional reunions across Port Charles.
Drew Cain will plunge into the Quartermaine lake after Nina Reeves pushes his wheelchair into the water, but her plan quickly falls apart when Gio Palmieri dives in and saves him. Meanwhile, Valentin Cassadine attempts to recover his frozen fortune, Britt Westbourne reunites with Jason Morgan and immediately slaps him, and Willow Corinthos considers running away before Drew can expose her secrets.
Elsewhere, Michael Corinthos flexes his growing influence, Serena Baldwin returns to Port Charles and Ethan Lovett receives news that could abruptly end his budding romance with Ava Jerome.
Monday, July 27: Gio Saves Drew From the Lake
Valentin makes a high-stakes offer to Jack Brennan.
He appears willing to return the missing black box, but only if Brennan arranges for his assets to be unfrozen. Valentin wants access to his fortune so he can purchase Wyndemere and give Charlotte Cassadine the life she wants with her father.
The arrangement could benefit both men, although Brennan may be suspicious of Valentin’s true intentions.
At the Quartermaine estate, Nina frantically calls Drew’s name after pushing him into the lake. Her panic may be less about genuine regret and more about making the incident appear accidental.
Brook Lynn encourages Gio to take one final swim before leaving. The timing places him near the water just as Drew begins to sink.
As a trained lifeguard and experienced swimmer, Gio immediately dives into the lake and pulls Drew to safety, destroying Nina’s plan to silence him.
Nina later asks Brennan for help. She may need him to obtain damaging information that can be used against Drew before he reveals what Willow has done.
Willow also asks Chase for a dangerous favour. She wants him to tell the Port Charles Police Department that he could not locate her so she can flee with the children.
However, Dante deliberately sent Chase to bring Willow in, making the situation a test of his loyalty and integrity.
Elsewhere, Britt reunites with Jason at General Hospital.
Britt is overjoyed when Jason reveals that the WSB finally released him. She admits that she feared she would never see him again. Jason suggests they speak privately, but Britt suddenly slaps him across the face.
The reason for her anger remains unclear, although the confrontation suggests that Britt has not forgiven everything that happened before Jason disappeared.
Tuesday, July 28: Willow’s Future Hangs in the Balance
Justinda becomes increasingly frustrated with Michael’s approach to Willow.
Michael appears willing to play a long game while Brook Lynn continues framing Willow, but Justinda wants faster results. Her impatience could lead her to take matters into her own hands and create a new threat.
Rocco remains cautious, possibly because of the tension involving Danny and Charlotte. Rocco has been angry with Danny, while Charlotte is expected to spend more time with Scout.
Emma also questions Josslyn about her secretive behaviour.
The two women meet with Trina near the Metro Court pool, where Joss appears to be dressed for WSB work. Emma may have recently discovered that Joss is working as an agent and demands answers that Joss cannot safely provide.
Meanwhile, Drew survives the drowning attempt, placing Willow in greater danger. Once he regains consciousness, he may be able to expose her role in the shooting and other recent crimes.
Brennan later contacts Nina with news of a possible breakthrough, but it may arrive too late.
Sunny and Carly also bring Jason up to date on everything that happened while he was being held and tortured at a WSB black site. Carly comforts Jason as he struggles to process the changes he missed.
Wednesday, July 29: Michael Makes a Power Move
Michael flexes his authority, potentially at Deception.
After purchasing Maxie’s shares, Michael now has significant influence over the company. He may move Justinda from Crimson to Deception so she can represent his interests during the growing corporate conflict.
Alexis is thrown by new information, possibly involving Drew’s near-drowning or Jason’s return.
Spoilers suggest that a reversal in Drew’s condition will cause serious problems for Alexis. She may confront Willow directly and reveal that she knows Willow shot Drew.
Alexis could also ask whether Willow was responsible for pushing him into the lake.
Kai and Trina jump to the wrong conclusion and may assume Willow tried to drown Drew. Their assumptions could place them in the middle of an increasingly dangerous investigation.
Gio gives the Quartermaines news that leaves the family rattled. He is likely to explain how he found Drew in the lake and saved his life.
Tracy may be less than grateful, considering her deep hostility towards Drew.
Ava also becomes suspicious, possibly about Ethan’s unexplained behaviour or the mysterious person connected to his past.
Thursday, July 30: Serena Baldwin Returns
Serena Baldwin returns to Port Charles, with Kelly Kruger joining the storyline.
Lucy Coe wants her surrogate daughter’s help during the power struggle at Deception. Serena reportedly returns after experiencing a personal setback while involved in international animal-rights work.
Her arrival could have unexpected consequences for several characters.
Dr Tristan takes a firm stand with someone, possibly Britt. Although he initially appears hostile towards her, their tension may eventually develop into romance.
Ethan is shocked when someone from his past resurfaces. The surprise arrival will apparently interrupt his growing relationship with Ava and may force him to leave Port Charles.
Serena could be the person connected to Ethan’s past, especially if they share unresolved history.
Tracy is also blindsided. The surprise may involve Drew’s accident, Serena’s return or Lucy’s latest move in the Deception battle.
Anna reconnects with Jason as the two bond over their traumatic experiences with the WSB. Both have been manipulated and endangered by the organisation, giving them plenty to discuss.
Friday, July 31: Ethan Has Major News for Lulu
Dante coaches Elizabeth as Port Charles prepares for softball season.
Although Dante and Liz appear to be playing for opposing teams, the two friends enjoy a cheerful moment together at the park.
Sunny summons Jason for a serious conversation. Jason may tell him that he no longer wants to serve as a mob enforcer after everything he endured while in WSB custody.
If Jason steps away from the criminal organisation, Sunny could face a major leadership crisis.
Brook Lynn stands up for Danny, while Ethan shares important news with Lulu. He may reveal that he is leaving Port Charles following the unexpected arrival of someone from his past.
Anna is stunned by another development before the week ends.
Viewers have also noticed Maxie Jones’ absence. The character has reportedly travelled to Australia with Spinelli and the children, temporarily removing the entire family from the canvas.
Whether Spinelli eventually returns may depend on the show’s future plans for Maxie.
By the end of the week, Drew will still be alive, Nina’s scheme will be in danger of exposure and Willow will be running out of ways to protect herself.
Jason’s return will create several emotional confrontations, while Valentin’s agreement with Brennan could restore the Cassadine family’s power in Port Charles.
The biggest question is whether Nina and Willow can silence Drew before he tells everyone what he knows.
