General Hospital Two-Week Spoilers: Sonny Taunts an Enemy, Ric Spirals, Curtis Heads to Prison and Sidwell’s Assets Spark a War

General Hospital is setting up two explosive weeks in Port Charles from August 17 through August 28, with Sonny Corinthos preparing to provoke an enemy, Ric Lansing losing control over Elizabeth Webber, Curtis Ashford facing prison, and several powerful players battling over Jenz Sidwell’s seized assets.

Meanwhile, Carly Spencer forms a dangerous new alliance, Jason Morgan shocks Britt Westbourne with a major life change, and Hudson begins asking questions that could expose the truth about baby Phoebe.

Here is what fans can expect over the next two weeks.

Monday, August 17: Carly Makes a Risky Deal

Carly summons businessman Hudson after discovering he has been staying at the Metro Court.

She wants Hudson to make sure Josslyn accepts the job connected to JJ, but Hudson tells her that opportunity has already disappeared. Carly, however, refuses to accept that answer.

At the same time, Josslyn asks Michael Corinthos for help choosing a CEO for the company. Michael is willing to help—but only if Joss agrees to something in return.

Michael and Joss later meet Hudson near the Quartermaine docks, where Hudson may finally get his first real look at baby Phoebe with Brook Lynn and Chase.

That encounter could become far more important than anyone realizes.

Brook Lynn receives horrifying news and becomes furious when Michael moves Willow back into the gatehouse. She demands that Tracy convince Michael to stop the arrangement.

Willow, however, sees at least one positive side to returning to the Quartermaine property: she gets another opportunity to spend time around Chase.

Lucas and Detective Joe Fitzpatrick also share another bonding moment, potentially pushing their relationship closer to something romantic.

Tuesday, August 18: Jason Stuns Britt

Jason delivers unexpected news to Britt while the two are at the park in softball uniforms.

Britt is representing General Hospital, while Jason appears to be playing for ELQ—a major clue that Jason may reveal he has finally walked away from Sonny’s organization.

Jason could explain that he left the mob behind for Danny’s sake and is now trying to live a more legitimate life.

Britt may be shocked, but she could also be impressed.

Elsewhere, Josslyn accidentally reveals too much information to Hudson.

If Hudson learns that Phoebe was adopted and that her biological mother died during childbirth, he could quickly begin connecting the dots.

That may lead Hudson to suspect that Phoebe is actually his daughter.

Lucy is also shaken, possibly because something involving Serena threatens to unravel.

Meanwhile, Sonny and Anna discover they share a common concern. The issue may be Carly’s relationship with Valentin Cassadine.

Sonny already dislikes the idea of Carly being involved with Valentin, and Anna may have her own reasons for wanting them apart.

Ava also becomes concerned about Lucas. Although Lucas continues grieving Marco, his growing connection with Joe Fitzpatrick may finally give him a reason to move forward.

Wednesday, August 19: Sonny Gives His Blessing

Sonny gives someone his approval, and Jason may be the recipient if he officially tells Sonny that he has accepted a legitimate position with ELQ.

Ric Lansing, meanwhile, sees something that sends him into an emotional tailspin.

His jealousy over Elizabeth could become increasingly dangerous, especially if he witnesses another close interaction between Liz and Dante.

Someone makes Jordan Ashford an unexpected offer.

Valentin previously asked Jordan to help him deal with Sidwell’s assets, but Drew Cain could now approach her with a competing proposal.

Kai also begins feeling uneasy.

His concerns may involve the producer Simon pushing Trina and Gio together, but there could be something much more disturbing happening. Kai may begin to suspect that Trina is being watched or followed.

Drew and Nina also have another hostile encounter.

Their arguments over Willow are far from finished, and Drew may warn Nina that he intends to make everyone who opposed him pay.

Thursday, August 20: Ric Spirals Over Elizabeth

Carly makes an important realization involving Josslyn, Hudson or possibly Valentin.

Elizabeth confides in Dante, and her confession could be directly connected to Ric’s increasingly possessive behavior.

Ric’s jealousy has been growing, and seeing Liz becoming closer to Dante could finally send him over the edge.

If Ric begins behaving aggressively or irrationally, Elizabeth may realize she needs to create distance between them.

Anna also introduces Tristan to Josslyn.

Since both have connections to the WSB, the meeting could become important—especially if Joss is asked to keep an eye on Tristan.

Lulu, meanwhile, confronts Valentin.

She believed Valentin was simply renting a home in Port Charles, but learning that he plans to purchase Spoon Island could alarm her.

Lulu may strongly object to Charlotte moving back to Wyndemere.

Friday, August 21: Sonny Makes a Surprise Visit

Drew extends an olive branch to someone, although the gesture may not be entirely sincere.

It is possible that Jack pressures Drew into cooperating, especially when it comes to Scout and the rest of the family.

Ava reassures Portia, who is struggling with Curtis’ upcoming imprisonment.

Since Ava has firsthand experience with Pentonville, she may offer Portia some surprisingly practical advice about surviving the situation emotionally.

Jordan also receives encouragement, possibly from Curtis himself.

The two are expected to share an emotional goodbye before Curtis turns himself in.

Despite everything that has happened, Jordan appears determined to remain loyal to Curtis while he serves his sentence.

Then Sonny makes a surprise visit.

One possibility is that Sonny heads directly to Pentonville to confront Sidwell.

If that happens, Sonny could take great pleasure in taunting Sidwell about losing his property, his influence and possibly the piers he once controlled.

Laura also asks Rocco for something that may involve Lulu and Charlotte.

Week of August 24–28: Curtis Meets His Nightmare Cellmate

Curtis begins adjusting to life inside Pentonville, but things could immediately take a horrifying turn.

He may discover that Sidwell is waiting for him—and could even become his cellmate.

If so, Curtis may quickly realize that his prison sentence is about to become far more dangerous than expected.

Sidwell may want revenge because of Jordan’s betrayal and could use Curtis as leverage against her.

Jordan, meanwhile, struggles emotionally with Curtis being behind bars.

Her anger may continue spilling over onto Portia and Isaiah, even though Curtis’ own decisions ultimately led to his imprisonment.

A Bidding War Erupts Over Sidwell’s Empire

Back in Port Charles, Sidwell’s seized assets are expected to go up for auction.

Several major players want different pieces of his empire.

Valentin appears interested in reclaiming Spoon Island and Wyndemere, while Drew wants control of the piers—partly to keep them away from Sonny.

That could trigger a fierce bidding war.

Sonny may not even want Spoon Island, but if he discovers Valentin is desperate to own it, Sonny could drive up the price simply to make life more difficult for him.

The auction could leave several powerful men with fresh grudges.

Hudson Starts Investigating Phoebe

Hudson’s suspicions about baby Phoebe are also expected to grow.

After hearing enough details about the child’s past, he may begin investigating whether he could be Phoebe’s biological father.

A DNA test would answer the question quickly.

Hudson may even try to obtain something belonging to the baby—such as a pacifier—to secretly collect DNA.

If Hudson proves Phoebe is his daughter, Brook Lynn and Chase could find themselves at the center of another custody nightmare.

Willow Struggles Under Michael’s Control

Willow’s return to the Quartermaine estate will not be easy.

Although she has agreed to Michael’s arrangement, she is uncomfortable living under conditions she feels he controls.

The Quartermaine household could become increasingly tense as Willow attempts to regain some independence.

At the same time, her renewed proximity to Chase may complicate matters even further.

Elizabeth May Finally Walk Away From Ric

Ric’s jealousy appears to be reaching a breaking point.

If he continues obsessing over Elizabeth’s relationship with Dante, Liz may finally decide that Ric’s behavior is too toxic to tolerate.

That could lead her to create serious distance between them.

Whether Ric accepts that decision peacefully is another question entirely.

Lucas and Joe Grow Closer

Lucas continues developing a connection with Joe Fitzpatrick.

Their friendship could soon become romantic, giving Lucas his first real opportunity to move beyond the pain surrounding Marco.

Lucas may also find himself spending more time with Ava and Britt, creating an interesting new social circle around him.

Anna Keeps a Close Eye on Britt

Britt’s return continues to raise concerns for Anna.

Peter remains a dangerous influence and may continue pushing Anna toward extreme action against Britt.

Jason’s renewed connection with Britt could make the situation even more complicated.

If Jason is truly leaving Sonny’s organization behind, Britt could become an important part of the new life he is trying to build.

Carly’s Alliance With Hudson Could Backfire

Carly believes she can use Hudson to help Josslyn, but she may be underestimating exactly who she is dealing with.

Hudson appears to have his own agenda, and once he becomes suspicious about Phoebe, everything else could become secondary.

Michael and Jack are also trying to protect Josslyn from the situation surrounding JJ.

Jack may even seek information from Alexis as he tries to uncover exactly what Joss has gotten herself involved in.

Could Maxie Finally Return?

There is also renewed speculation about Maxie Jones.

Kirsten Storms has been spotted back in Los Angeles with a new short blonde hairstyle, immediately fueling fan hopes that Maxie could soon return to General Hospital.

Nothing would shake up Port Charles quite like Maxie coming home while so many storylines are exploding at once.

The next two weeks promise major consequences for nearly every family in Port Charles.

Curtis is heading into a dangerous prison situation. Sidwell’s empire is being carved up. Sonny may soon be taunting one of his enemies behind bars. Ric’s jealousy could destroy his relationship with Elizabeth. And Hudson’s investigation into Phoebe may uncover a secret capable of changing several lives forever.

Which storyline are you most excited to see—Curtis facing Sidwell in Pentonville, Sonny entering the bidding war, Ric losing Elizabeth, or Hudson discovering the truth about Phoebe?
