General Hospital Spoilers: Nina May Try to Drown Drew After He Regains His Voice
General Hospital spoilers suggest Nina Reeves could make a desperate and dangerous move after discovering that Drew Cain can speak again. With Drew now capable of exposing everything Willow and Nina have done to him, Nina may decide that keeping him silent is more important than protecting herself.
The weekly preview shows Drew startling Nina by asking, “What’s wrong, Nina? Bad news?” The moment appears to take place near the lake at the Quartermaine estate, raising the possibility that Nina will attempt to stage a fatal accident.
Drew Can Finally Expose Nina and Willow
Nina and Willow have been relying on a paralytic to keep Drew physically helpless and unable to reveal the truth. However, their supply is nearly gone, and Drew is gradually regaining control of his body.
His recovery creates an immediate threat.
Although the police may not be able to prosecute Willow for shooting Drew, he can still accuse her of causing his stroke and keeping him imprisoned for months. Nina could also be identified as her co-conspirator.
If Drew tells the authorities everything, Willow and Nina could both face serious criminal charges. Nina’s greatest fear is not necessarily going to prison herself—it is seeing Willow punished.
That desperation may push her toward an attempted murder.
The Missing Black Box Could Save Them
Nina has been helping Jack Brennan search for a black box containing evidence that could allegedly be used to blackmail Drew into remaining silent.
However, the device has passed through several hands. Cullum originally stole it from Jack’s office and hid it at Wyndemere, but Valentin later took it from his former home, apparently believing it belonged to Cullum.
Jack and Nina are now racing to recover it before Drew becomes fully capable of speaking and moving.
Spoilers indicate that Jack will eventually get what he needs from a surprising source, which could be Valentin. Unfortunately, that breakthrough may come too late to prevent Nina from taking drastic action.
Jack is also expected to give Nina bad news on Friday, possibly telling her that he still does not have the evidence required to control Drew.
Nina Develops a Wild Idea
Thursday’s spoilers say Nina comes up with a wild idea, while another preview promises that Drew will “make a splash.”
Those clues strongly suggest an incident at the Quartermaine lake.
Scout recently asked Tracy for permission to practice swimming a mile in the estate’s pond for a charity event. During their conversation, she specifically mentioned that Drew taught her how to swim and reminded Tracy that her father is a former Navy SEAL.
Scout also asked whether Drew could come to the estate to watch her practice, despite his current ban from the property. Tracy eventually agreed.
That setup could bring Drew, Nina and Scout to the lake at the same time.
Nina may roll Drew’s wheelchair onto the dock and deliberately leave the brake unsecured. If the chair falls into the water, she could claim it was a terrible accident.
However, the situation may change when Drew unexpectedly speaks to her.
Realizing that he is capable of exposing her immediately, Nina could decide that she has run out of time.
Will Nina Push Drew Into the Lake?
Nina may position Drew’s wheelchair near the edge of the dock before allowing it to roll forward and tip into the water.
Because Drew would still be strapped into a heavy wheelchair, even his Navy SEAL training might not be enough to save him. Nina could jump into the lake and pretend to rescue him while secretly allowing him to remain underwater long enough to lose consciousness.
In her mind, she might rationalize the act as an accident rather than murder. She could tell herself that the wheelchair simply rolled into the pond and that she was unable to save him.
Jack previously suggested that Nina and Willow could permanently solve their problem by killing Drew. Willow rejected the idea and insisted she was not a killer, despite having already shot him.
Nina, however, may be willing to cross that line for her daughter.
Drew Is Unlikely to Die
Despite the apparent drowning attempt, Drew is unlikely to be killed off.
Someone may rescue him and rush him to General Hospital in critical condition. He could remain unconscious or be placed in a medically induced coma while recovering from the near-drowning.
That would give Nina and Jack additional time to locate the black box and secure the evidence they need to force Drew’s silence.
Elizabeth is also expected to challenge Willow on Friday. That confrontation could be connected to Drew’s arrival at the hospital, particularly if Elizabeth becomes suspicious about the recent medical emergencies surrounding him.
Willow may have an airtight alibi since she is reportedly traveling to Washington, D.C. when the lake incident occurs. Nevertheless, Trina and Kai could hear about Drew’s accident and incorrectly assume Willow tried to kill him again.
Nina’s Secret Could Bring Her Closer to Jack
Nina recently became intimate with Jack and attempted to dismiss it as a one-time encounter. However, their connection may deepen as he continues helping her protect Willow.
If Drew survives, Nina may admit to Jack that she tried to drown him. Jack is ruthless enough to understand her decision, especially since eliminating Drew was originally his suggestion.
Together, they could use the recovered black box to blackmail Drew before he reveals the truth.
That solution may protect Nina and Willow temporarily, but Drew is unlikely to forget what happened. Even if he cannot send them to prison, he may seek another form of revenge.
Nina’s desperate plan could therefore save Willow in the short term while beginning an even more dangerous war.
